Use ice. It hardens the gum and it can be scraped off. If it's on fabric, scrape off what you can then use Eucalyptus oil for the remainder. It leaves an oily mark but this disappears momentarily as it is a very, very fine oil.

Yes, it will rub in and not dry out. Eucalyptus oil is great. Use the ice first and then the oil for what the ice doesn't get.

That's a mess! You can try rubbing ice cubes to get the gum off. Chewing gum could be annoying and I just remembered how I has to cut a potion on my hair to come our gum free!

Thankfully it doesn't seem to be much of a problem in the winter here but in the summer I am always watching where I walk...it's a pain to dig it out of a shoe. I don't know why ppl can't take 2 minutes and toss it in a trash can rather than just spitting it on the ground. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG AND TRUST IN GOD**

Not sure what type of boot you have or where on your boot it is located, but sometimes ice helps. It makes it harden up and makes removing it a little easier.

OMG...I hate that with a passion too!!! I think ice and peanut butter work.....ice freezes it so you can easily scrape it off.. The one story I can remember when I was a kid was this kid put his gum behind his ear in music class...instead of throwing it away.. There is this other story about my friend who did daycare and one of the little guys put his gum by his pen*s and she was like, I'm not taking it off and waited until the mom got there... Good luck getting it off...

Yes I find this really annoying too. I always make sure that when I am eating gum I dispose of it properly as I know how much of a problem it is getting it off. I have heard that one way to get gum off is to put it in the fridge or in the freezer. I think that when it goes cold, it is less sticky and therefore will come off more easily. You can give this a go if it hasn't come off yet? Good luck!

Use gasoline or kerosene. I also hate people who chew gum. Most especially if they just spit it out anywhere. The world would be a much cleaner place when gums were not invented. If only countries would follow the example of Singaporean Laws, then we'd have a much cleaner and healthier world.

OK, you need peanut butter and a bristle brush...or wire brush and hot water. Rub the peanut butter into the the areas where the gum is and run a bit of water over it. Then simply brush it, and repeat as necessary. It would be helpful if you picked the major clods of it off first before you use the peanut butter. The oil that collects in the jar is what I usually use but the plain butter will suffice.
