I started smoking when i was still in school. i was 13 then. I keep smoking until i was about 20. I smoked around 20 buds per day/average. It took me about 7 years before i really realize that i was a smokeholic. My teeth started going yellow, gums bleeding, red eyes, sleepy. i was just addicted. thank god for making me realize the mistake that i have done to my beloved body and soul. I started to smoke less day by day until 2 - 3 month later i managed to totally say no to smoking. It only took my will power to stop smoking. without using any other method. My strong will to stop smoking keeps me going until today and even when someone offered me a cigarette, i can proudly say NO. So, for u man's and womans out there, if you trying to quit smoking, you can do it. trust me...ciao

Yeah! smoking is very harmful to our body. At first I really don't know how to smoke but my friends encouraged me to do so. They taught me how to do it until such time I've learned. It makes me proud at the first place and though it's dangerous to our health but it sometimes gives relaxation. I don't often smoke. I only smoke if I'm with my friends accompany. :D

Thanks for the encouraging story. I have only been smoking for three years but already its becoming a big problem. I have started smoking in my house because it was just too cold to go outside. I am up to almost 20 or more a day, and its horrible. Everyone keeps yelling at me to quit and I just can't seem to do it. I have not been trying very hard, and your story makes me feel like I can actually do it. Thanks for sharing.

you really can do it. the question is simple. do you want to quit or not. if you really want to quit, then you are already taking the 1st step. Think about the money that you will be saving once you quit. A lot. I mean... a lot.

I'm with ya- I started smoking when I was 13 also. Thankfully I am proud to say that my New Year's Resolution was to stop smoking after 13 years. So far, I have not smoked! I don't feel the urge to. It's going well, and I think I'm going to continue doing well. I'm proud of you for doing it b/c it's not easy, especially in the beginning, but it CAN be done!

I think smokings a disgusting habit. I smoked on and off from the age of 17 to about the first month of being 21. Then when I started dating a smoker, I realized it was disgusting and I had chronic bronchitis, so I shouldn't be smoking at all. Now I am trying to get my boyfriend to quit.

I am trying to quit smoking nowadays but i am really not able to come over it. I cant live a without smoking after having my lunch and dinner. I am 21 and i am smoking since 16. I was not so badly addicted before but in this year i became a real addict because i am living away from my parents in a different country for my studies. I never smoked in front of my parents so i never use to smoke that much. However i decrease the number of cigg but within 3 - 4 days again i start smoking more. I dont know what to do. It was great hearing that you said NO to smoking. I hope i be like you in this matter.

hello there azzlansyah... im proud of you. how silly we are not to realize it soon right.. but important thing is that you're no longer smoking and that's even better. i started when i was 17 and become addicted when i was 20 until now i still smoke, and becomes worst. but yeah i know what it has to do with my body with my health. stupid me to treat this as one way of reducing my weight though im not that fat. now in trying to quit. trying one step at a time, im reducing. and hope to wake up one day not to puff even a half of it. what an inspiring story of you. my parents would be proud to know that i finally stop smoking.
