hello prasanna that would be a good idea for people to keep their keyboards and the monitors covered up with a dush cloth or something like that to keep from them both getting all dusty. it is very difficult to wipe off the keyboard and to keep it clean. the monitor is lots easier to keep clean because it is bigger and doesn't have nearly as many buttons on it as the keyboard does. we used to have a roommate that would cover the monitor up with a sheet every night before that he went to bed. lol take care and have a beautiful day today!

I will not cover anything on monitor as I am using antiglare Glass for not getting radiation so it is acting as a coverage so I am leaving like that.

Hello prasanna1990! I didn't cover my monitor and CPU actually. But I may try it. I always plan to do it but sometimes, I am too lazy to do it anymore that I just want to go to bed immediately.

See prasanna1990, I cover my CPU and monitor with soft cotton covers. Those keep the devices little clean. I do not work in AC environment -- so can't comment on that. In any case, my CPU andmonitor are cleaner than those I find in many friends' houses.

I suggest, you just make two sets of coves made of thick cotton clothes (not plastic)and put them on your IT machinery. Once in a week, (regularly)go on changing the covers. Send one set for wash, put the other set on the IT machinery.

Hi prasanna I used to cover my CPU and monitor with dust cover. But that was a time long ago. Now my system is nine year old.It is having very limited capacity.I am thinking whether to upgrade it or buy a new one.You know the desk tops are going cheaper and cheaper every day.So mostly I will go for a new one! Meantime,my daughter gifted me a laptop. Now I use mostly laptop only. Happy mylotting

Where are leaving the system free?. I used to cover when it was new and left that habit as we have to give enough room to heat dissipation from the computer after usage.

I cover my monitor in order to protect it from the dust but really ewhat you should protect from dirt and filth is your keyboard its all day there and it fills with dust and all sorts of trash. It's one of the most filthiest places in the house. you should keep clean also your computer and your mouse. it is disgusting to find a dirty computer and keyboard

No I am guilty of not coverng it. It's in use almost all day every day so it would only be covered at night. I did when it was new but then somehow dropped the habit.

Most of the dust collects in the keyboard. I just invert it and tap it to remove all the dust once a week or so. the Cabinet of the CPU is mostly covered and does not get much dust. The dust which goes in is mostly on account of the fan. One has to open it and dust it once in a while. The monitor I never cover and never clean except from outside.

My computer never sits idle long enough to need a cover. However, I do know what you mean about dust. Sometimes I think we have more dust here in Tennessee than anywhere in the world. I know that is not true but it seems like every time I clean I can go back in a few minutes and find more dust. It is important to keep your computer clean, especially the cooling fan. I have a vacuum that is specially made for cleaning the dust out of the inside of computers. Periodically I take the back off and give it a good cleaning. If you try this be sure you turn the computer off and unplug it from the wall before you take the back off.

No i dont often cover it unless i am going away for holidays that is going to be for a week or more. It is actually important to cover Computer casing too becasue it has CPU fan running when PC is on and so dust comes in the casing from many holes , which should be stopped atleast when not using PC by covering it
