those "YOU WON" or "ANSWER THIS AND WIN A WII" etc ads all seem fake.. or at least i have YET to know any one that has won ANYTHING from them so how do they keep staying around and legal? is it because its the internet and hard to prosecute stuff on here?!?! seems like after years of these ads i would either know some one that has gotten the stuff or they would be gone.. have you ever won anything with those ads? do you think they should be illegal or acted as fraud/scam? do you find them annoying?

the problem is it is hard to control the internet, there are people putting stuff up from all over the world, the laws in the usa are only enforceable in the usa and the same goes for every country, there is much written about how the internet is not well controlled by nobody knows how to do it. what concerns me is the scams on tv, that can much easier be regulated because the tv station can pick and choose what it wants to show. yet crap like add for male enhancement which doesn't work and they have been sued are still allowed to post,

I think in the UK, as long as one person has won, then they're legal. Don't take that as certain though. Given that they're pretty mainstream it's more than likely they've got their legal bases covered.
