Hello ladies, I was wondering who out there has 4 kids and can say they are happy with their tummy and don't need a tuck. Also, if you've had one or no someone who has how was the outcome???

Just had a tummy tuck last Tuesday along with a hysterectomy the tummy tuck hurt really bad the first 3 days then the next 4 were not quite as bad I had stretch. Marks really bad past my belly button it was a wrinklie mess. My stomach muscles had separated 4 inches. It was bad but the doc sewed them back together did the tum tuck and it's been one week two days. I look at my stomach now and though I do still have a few stretch marks they are tight and not so noticeable my stomach is flat for the first time in my life... It's gonna take some getting used to, especally seeing a belly button when I look down!! Lol. Before it was lost in wrinkles! Liz

So you didn't loose any feeling??? I have read some bad stories but I wonder if the women didn't heal correctly because of their lifestyle like smoking and stuff. How long did it take??

I wanted it after just one! I had a second child and waited many years after since I didn't have any stretch marks I tried the old-fashioned way with diet and exercise. It didn't work. I had 1 child naturally and 1 via C-section and the doctor explained that during the c-section the muscle is cut which makes for a sort of bulge. Anyway, he also said that the stomach muscles expand during pregnancy and that in most cases they rarely go back to their original form. I waited because I was apprehensive about having a scar on my otherwise unmarked stomach but finally took the plunge about 4 years ago. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. My scar has faded nicely and my tummy is very flat and tight. I also had the surgery done in an outpatient center and went home a few hours later. Actually I had the surgery on a Wednesday and was back to work the following Monday. I had some discomfort, but no real pain.
