I only remember three movies that really inspired me a lot. They are the following: Pay It Forward, Pursuit Of Happiness and The Parent Trap. I really liked the story of those three movies I have watched. What about you? What movie really inspired you? Please share as many as you can so that I could also watch them. Thanks!

I am not familiar with two of the three you listed but I have heard of them. I guess I should put them on my list. I love Parent Trap and I have the old version with Hailey Mills and the newer one with Lindsey Lohan. They are just a bit different in storyline but I like them both a lot. One of my all time favorites is Ever After with Drew Barrymore. I love the time period it is set in. Dougray Scott makes a good prince too. I have always been a Zorro fan, so The Mask of Zorro and the Legend of Zorro are ones I have watched many many times. Antonio Banderas is in them. The Mask of Zorro is the first one and it shows an older Zorro training a younger Zorro. Antonio plays the younger Zorro and I find it interesting to watch the maturing process of the character. The second one has a hard to believe story line but it is just fun after watching the first one. I like Kenneth Branaugh's version of Shakespear's "Much Ado About Nothing." I put the closed caption on to get the words better. I love the twists and turns of this story. There are many well known actors and actresses in this one. An old movie that is fun is "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne. It is not a western like most movies that he did. It takes place in Ireland and it's about him falling in love with an Irish girl. It gets really funny in spots and yet is very heartwarming. For the upbeat music and the silliness of the story, I like "Ella Enchanted" It is a tongue-in-cheek fairy tale. The Count of Monte Cristo with Jim Caviezel is very good. The movie ends better than the classic book, but I prefer it that way. It has a great lesson in it. This one is just fun - What a Girl Wants with Amanda Bynes - is just plain fun. Did I say it's fun????? Casanova is good with Heath Ledger. I enjoy the characters and the twists and turns in this. I guess the list is getting long so I will close with "The Man in The Iron Mask" with Leonardo DiCaprio. There are many accomplished actors in this one. Okay - one more - anything with Johnny Depp. He is so believable in his acting and he is so off the wall that you're always surprised. Cry Baby, Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Pirates I, II, & III, Sleepy Hollow, Gilbert Grape, etc.

Wow thank you so much for giving a lot of good movies you have watched! I would like to agree with you when it comes to the movie "Count of Monte Cristo." I can't believe myself that I forget that even that is my favorite! I really like the story of that especially the part where the man and the old man where digging in the soil in order for them to be free from imprisonment. That really inspired me and my husband was the one who told that to me. I have not read the book though but just watched the movie so I don't know the difference. I will ask him to download the other movies you mentioned. Again thanks for sharing!

KungFu Panda really impressed me when I saw it several days ago. The theme is simple but significant. I learned a lot from it. Also the actors line in KungFu Panda is very interesting and full of wisdom and philosphy. The movie tells people that if you want to do sth and you really put youself in it, you can make it anyway. Nothing can stop you but youself. Nobody's destiny is fixed before he was born. We can baynoet our way out if we try. Ahthough it is just a cartoon movie, I still love it so much. The panda is always so funny. Haha.

Yes I also like Kungfu Panda. If I had only enough time thinking when I started the discussion I would really include this movie. I liked this movie and it is very inspirational. I ended up not getting the career I wanted and that movie made me feel better. In fact, I have collected and completed the Kungfu Panda toys from McDonalds and I have them displayed beside the television. Thanks for sharing!

If I had to chose one movie that I found to be truly inspirational it would be Richard Attenborough's Gandhi. The one bone I have to pick with it was the casting of Ben Kingsley, an Englishman, to play the lead role of Gandhi. Somehow an Englishman portraying the man who lead the struggle for independence from England seemed a bit odd.

I really like the Pursuit of Happyness a lot. I think that is an amazing story and its one of my favorite movies. I really like the movie Miracle on Ice too, its about the 1980 U.S. olympic hockey team and their pursuit of their goal to beat the Russian team that has consistently beaten them and win the gold medal. Pay it forward i think is also a great movie :)
