how do you swing the ball in FIFA08

the direction buttons help in swinging the ball.but the swing in 08 is very less compared to 07.the swing depends on the power of the shot and the height at which the ball is.while taking free kicks or corners the same technic applys.however you must give the swing as you are running towards the ball to kick it.you can also make the ball dip a little by pressing the up arrow.hope it solves your problem.
