How many times you have lost your cell phones?

I have lost two of my cell phones. Both of them in the year 2007. That year I was in different town than my home town. I don't remember the model number but the first one was Nokia 3120(!). It got lost when I slept in a bus with my phone in my shirt pocket. Guess I was new to buses and paid the penalty for it. Second time it was Nokia 1100i. Also it happened in a bus but this time I was not sleeping nor it was in my shirt pocket. It was in my pants pocket and yet the thief was able to sneak it out. I realized only when I got down at the bus stop. By the time I realized the bus was gone! now, I don't use mobile when I am out of my house! Did you also loose your phone in your life?

i lost the first phone i ever bought using my money. i have only used it for like 3 months after i first bought it. it's my precious Nokia 5310. i miss it so much and i cried when i lost it. i don't know whether it was i or my aunt who lost it. we most probably left it in the cab we rode home. i wish the cab driver decided to return it to the owner. *sighs* i missed that phone. anyways, happy day to you!

So sorry to hear that you lost your phone but you can console yourselve by saying that you are not alone who have lost their phone! So, what would you do when you will find a phone on a road or somewhere else, would you take it happily or return it?

I have been preety lucky when it comes to cell phones. In the last 8 years I gave only owned 3. I have never lost one, or really misplaced it for that matter. The first one I had for about 3 years and traded up when my contract expired. The second phone I kept for I thnk almost 4 years until the charging port on it broke. Now i have a new touch screen phone and i'm not too sure how I like it. But, it serves the purpose. All 3 phones that I've nad were by LG and I really like the brand.

Ah, really nice to know that someone really has used their cellphones at their best. I wish I had my oldest phone in my hands. Although it wasn't that stylish but with that we had some memories too. Now, I am not so into cellphnes but I think I need to buy a MP camera phone because I want to take picture with it when I play games! Just for proof!

Your friends might be true. You could have been not careful or they might have been stolen from your bag. I on the other hand was very careless on those days when I lost my cells!

I lost my cellphone once, and i don't consider to make it twice :D, i lost it in 2006, 1st january. Sad new year for me. My grandma invited me to celebrate new year in great restaurant. But when we left the restaurant,i left my cellphone on the table too. When i realized and came back to that restaurant,my cellphone had gone. How careless i am..

How dishonest the people were at restaurant? I always feel that a mobile phone isn't a gadget for talking only. One might have some important numbers or messages in it. It would be better if they could return it to the owner. It is so simple to find the owner. One need to call any number from that phone and the owner would be there in front of you to take that phone from you. Yu don't need to spend a single penny and you will get a rewards of being honest?

Hello sanuanu. I have lost one cell phone of mine with the brand TOP when I was enjoying myself at a local scenic spot. It was due to my being careless that I lost it. Because when I was taking a photo on the top of the mountain, I put my cell phone on one of the tables there and forgot to take it away with me before I left. I felt upset for the loss of it as this cell phone was no cheap at all. Now I am much more careful with my cell phone. Take care, friend.

Oh, I am so sorry for your friend who lost his cell phone, but I am wondering how come the other person in the same office use exactly the same cell phone without his being worried to be doubted, which is really weird of him, huh? But anyway, like you said, as there is no proof, nothing could be done. So I wish your friend to be more careful next time with his new cell phone. Good luck to you and thank you for your responding again, friend.

I must say he was a brave man. He saw that phone and asked the owner if he has any mark to identify if it gets lost. The owner was like laughing that it is worth only Rs 1500, who would take it. I think that is why he was absolutely sure that no one could catch him. He was a nasty guy who was always looking to get girls to his broom!

Oh so sorry to hear that you lost your phone. I remember one of my friend lost two of his mobile, one costed Rs. 15,000 and another Rs. 1,500. He lost the second one in his office and the very next day we could see that same mobile with some other office member but he said that he bought it. We couldn't do anything because he has no proof on that!

Hey there! No, you didn't loose your cellphones. They were stolen. Well, that sounds really bad man. Maybe next time when you are riding a bus put it inside your bag or hold it tight until you get off of the bus. I am a bit lucky than you.lol I lost my Nokia 6610i at school. It was in the bath room. I put my necklace and cellphone at the top of the locker when I was changing my clothes. I forgot to take it back. I just realize that I left it in the bath room when I was about to create a text message. I run to the bathroom to see if it was still there but I found nothing. I was mad at myself for forgetting my stuffs. I was lucky that one of my friends classmates found it. They were at the fourth floor of the school building when my friend shouted to get my attention and told me if it was my cellphone. I am very glad that it didn't fell to someone else hands.

What if you were so tired while listening to FM radio through your cellphone and you fall asleep and you were sleeping like a baby? Will you still sense it? Will you still know if someone's taking your phone?

I have used 4-5 phones upto now and i am proud to say i have not lost even one of them. It is actually a surprise for me also as i have a knack of losing things by placing them somewhere and forgetting about them. But thankfully, until now i have managed to hold onto my cellphones. Having said the phones may not be in a good condition as i use them carelessly it might even have been a good thing if i lost a cellphone that way at least i would be able to get a new one. Happy mylotting.

You must be given an award for using 4-5 cells and yet not loosing any one of them. *Clap-clap* No, I don't think old or cheap phones are not the one which gets stolen. The above response indicates that she lost two of her secnd hand phones and I lost one very cheap model. So, you need to be a little bit more cautious than what you are right now!

Haha, the only times I have ever lost a cell phone is when my lil Patsy decided to steal it and play with it. Once we were outside and she shoved it in her pocket and took off singing 'I'm going to see my daddy!' I had the baby and had to take off after her, before she got to the road. Many times I would go and get a neighbor to come to my house and call me a couple of times until we could dig up my cell phone! But, I have not yet lost a phone in a public place. Nor have I had one stolen. But, it wouldn't do anyone any good to steal my phone because it is prepaid and the minutes would never last that long. Also, it doesn't have a sims card in it so there would be no way for them to slip their current sims card in it for a better phone. It's useless to anyone but me, basicly. Haha.

Is it a CDMA mobile phone? Well, do you know that people once steal the cell never return it even if they don't find it worthy for them. They will switch if off and throw it somewhere. My boss had the same mobile phone, where one could never use a sim card in it but still she lost one and never got it back!

what is cricket? Is it a sim card provider company? When I said CDMA then I meant that this kind of phone doesn't allow you to slide any sim card in it!

I have a cricket. But, I do know what you mean... it doesn't really matter to the person taking it. But, then it's not too bad to by a new one either.

Good Morning Sanu.. In 2007, I had lost three phones..do you believe, one on the buses in Delhi and the other two from my hostel room. Luckily, non of them was smart phone, and even two of the lost phones were second hand. It is unbelievable, but on Dtdc, the pickpocket even attacked woman's pocket. we are supposed to be a bit alert all the time, and especially on the buses... Now, the time has changed..and I am a bit more concious in protecting my cell. It is a paradox that in Bihar I never threatened that my mobile may be lost.

We may have lady pickpoketers surrounded in Delhi too, can't we? Although three is my lucky number I am sorry that you lost 3 of your phones. The best part is that they were not costly phones, which leads me to think that even if the phones are cheap they can be stolen. So, now I have a costly phone an i am little bit cautious and I don't go to buses with them. Recenly when I went to Palamu with my dad, I had to bring mobile with me. I was holding that in my hands all the time. Never bothered to put it inside my pocket! Luckily I never lost phones in Bihar. both of them lost in DTDC buses only!

3.3.2008 ~ IN THE GAS STATION'S TOILET The thief used small mirror from next stall, observed my trouser which I placed it above my head on top of the cistern(5' high) while finishing my "health duty"(hopes you understand). In my trouser's pocket I kept my cell phone. What else? Its gone with my wallet, as well. Third party gave me help after that by buying new cheap track-bottom to ease me way out of that "hell" ~ what a shameful story on lodging my police report about that theft incident. The lost of my cell phone is no longer the priority but my identity documents in my lost wallet really nettlesome as I have to redo all over again in getting new one to each document. What a sigh! My answer to your question: 1 time

Gee! What I could understand is that you lost your phone and wallet from your trouser while you were passing motion. Am I right? If Yes, then why did you unwear your pants while doing your health duty? Not only shameful but interesting too! I never had such incident in my life.

LOL!~ unfortunately, I'm on the squatting type of toilet bowl during that time and not the sitting type. If I got the sitting type(like my photo attached), it wouldn't be a problem. internet activity still can be done in the toilet

You were in such a vulnerable position that you couldn't do anything even if he could have taken it in front of you! Could you run after him in that situaion? No! Sorry about the incident but glad that third party could avail you some track bottom so that you get rid of that place!
