Yes, another story about a light "fingered" cat who is helping himself to the neighbor's stuff! This time the cat is named Jack and he's not too fussy about what he brings home, sure, he likes those gloves (the better to keep your paw prints off stuff), but Jack also goes for hats, shorts, even UNDERWEAR!!! Here is a link to the page for all the rest of you! http://wcbstv.com/watercooler/burglar.cat.jack.2.979971.html

If anyone leaves a tissue or napkin around she will grab it and try to eat it.

That's funny. My kitten is picky, he pretty much only likes socks. Don't leave your socks lying around or you will be "Jason'd"...

I think cats are born thieves. I had a cat who stole dimes whenever she saw one. She'd even prance right up to you and take them out of your hand! It was the oddest thing. I once was rolling coins to take to the bank and had them all poured out on the floor: pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. She would slither up, jump in and grab a dime, then she'd be off in a flash. Moments later, she'd do it again, then again, until there were no more dimes left. She didn't want pennies, nickels or quarters, only dimes. Strange cat! I found her "stash" one day while cleaning under my computer desk. She had quite a collection of dimes! It was maybe $2.00 worth!

dimes, huh? weird! I had a cat, Mekon, who liked the little pompoms on the back of sport socks - they don't make them any more, but it got to the point where I just pulled them off for him. Now, Oliver likes those poof toys, I get craft poofs and toss one out for him every so often

Hahahaha! BarBara, I think she was saving them to buy HERSELF a Christmas present... she had her eye on one of those catnip mice that cost $2.97. She almost made it, too! Or, it could have been for a rhinestone collar she'd been asking for. She definitely had the attitude to be all decked out! She didn't "walk" through a room, she "sashayed" through a room, flitting her tail as she went. At least my little gal had the right idea... if you're going to steal anything, it should be MONEY so you can go out and buy anything you want.

Hi Elic, That is so funny, as long as the neightbours don't think it was the cat's woner that has been nicking the clothes, clever cat. Lol! Tamara

Probably not, If I let Rygel out he'd probably be nicking stuff too, when he was younger he'd drag toys in from the cat's playpen because he wanted to play with them in the house!

All the animals are turning into thieves. I read sometime back about a cat that was into stealing gloves. Then there was the one that went into a store and took a rawhide bone off the shelf and took it out the door. What oh what is the world coming to when we can't trust our pets to behave?

we had a trio of kittens who broke into the dog's pigs ears and would pull one out and chew on it, When Orion left Rygel and Sirius still did it, but not as much and finally stopped, more because they out grew that phase than anything else I suspect

if it was a her, i'd think she is nesting! stealing clothes is really something for a cat. imagine how much effort it takes to lug all these home! maybe the owner ought to get a bed for him. that way it might help with the stealing.

his name is Jack, probably not female, but if she kept him inside and he's fixed, he'd not be stealing stuff.

I've heard of cats stealing stuff, but generally they go for a single things, gloves, socks, etc.
