I have tried and tried to learn another language and can not. I have since learned that I have a language learning disablity, and will probably not ever be able to really learn another langauge. Sure, I can pick up some vocabulary, but that's not the same as learning the language. Of course, they didn't have the tests for this stuff when I was a kid and we were allowed to think we were stupid for not being able to learn another language.

When I was ten years old I had to learn English. We came from Italy and I was placed in a normal school but could not speak English. It was tough because when I lived in Italy I was an A student and suddenly here I was in a foreign country where I could not understand anyone and I was being taught things at school I had never heard of! Being a kid really helped because within three months I managed to hold a decent conversation in English. If I had been placed in that situation as an adult I would have struggled for a much longer time. Having mastered English for a few year now, I wouldn't mind learning French, it's a beautiful sounding language. It's great you are trying your hand at Spanish, it's quite similar to Italian actually, for example Thank you in Italian: Grazie, in Spanish: Gracias; there are a lot of words like that.

hi dasari, my dear friend, i started learning Spanish after i started talking to my hubby. at that we were not arried. we were in just talking terms and because he is very fluent in speaking spanish, i learnt for him. everyday iuse to learn some or the other new word so that i can communicate with him. you wont believe that whatever spanish i learnt , was just in that one and a half month period. after that we got married and then , from that day till today, i have not learnt a single new word ever. i think it was just a craze to talk to him at that time, which went off, after getting married. his business is in mexico and america's so he know that language very well. more so , he has spent more than five continuous years in Mexico. so that also matters.

I love to learn foreign language which will help me with my top hobby which is traveling. I am currently learning Spanish which should prove useful for Central America and South America. It is one of the romance languages and sounds beautiful to listen to. I learned French for five years when I was at school. I haven't learned them yet but I like the sound of Italian and Romanian. Spanish should prove the most useful. Using a vocabulary book is a way to learn ten new words a day and posters of verb structures can be made. Conversations helps speaking in the foreign language. People that live in a country, say Costa Rica, will quickly speak really great Spanish quickly.

For reaching certain things easy but when it is comes to chatting with them and communicating with them is not easy, so we need to have proper good communication before it self.

even i have been learning german for quite some time i have got a good hold over the vocabulary but the real menace in understanding language is its grammer ...which is difficult to get unless you start talking to others in that language
