You made the Filipinos proud again, Manny Pacquiao!!! You proved them wrong that you are not just a "Mexecutioner". You can beat anyone! On the side note: Martin did a very good rendition of the national anthem. Aling Dionisia made her devotion again. They did not jinxed Manny's fight after all.

It was really astonishing 'coz he was able to beat Hatton in the 2nd round - quite a hard feat for someone else. I congratulate him and all of us Filipinos for his victory but something doesn't seem right. Haha. I just don't know what or why, but I don't feel good about him winning. Is it just me or...?

Maybe you are just tired of Pacman winning his fights. That's common to some. You want something new and Pacman's winning is somehow expected. Him losing a fight will be a much, much bigger news and will earn a lot of speculations from anybody.

Don't feel good about MP winning? Hahaha. Can I make a guess? Is it because of the expectations that will come especially on his next fight? Setting that aside, it's a good day :)

Haha! Mabuhay Pinoy! lol! Wow, it was one crazy fight! Manny Pacquiao downs Ricky twice in round one. Wow! That will sure shut the critics mouth because they thought Manny has no more knockout punch because he moved up in weight. Lol! Well, good luck to Ricky Hatton on his next move as a boxer. Or will he retire? Congratulations anyways, Pinoys are sport.

My brother was right when he predicted that it is a lopsided fight. He kept on insisting that Hatton has never proven anything at all, winning fights from unknown boxers but can not even put up a good fight with Mayweather. Me? I am not into boxing. I only watch Manny Pacquiao's fight so I don't know much about Hatton. But based on the reviews of sports analysts aired in the local televisions, I thought the fight will not be that short.

Yes, I read your discussions with other fellows in the other threads. It looks like Hatton is not over-hyped at all. He is super-hyped boxer. I really can't understand what earned him to face Pacquiao in the first place.

We watched in awe as the National Boxing hero knocked Ricky Hatton with a single left hook punch. It was truly a breath taking sight when Hatton dropped to the canvass and lay flat for more than 10 minutes. The saying is really true, when Pacman's left punch connects, it's all over. Come on Mayweather, you're next.. it's time you meet the floor!

That's indeed a lethal left punch. Hatton was shaken pretty bad. I do think a fight with Mayweather will be a good showcase. However, Mayweather have to face Juan Manuel Marquez first before slugging it with Pacman, if ever he wins. I really wish that the Pacman-Mayweather will be staged to settle who really is the best "pound per pound" boxer.

Watched that one too... my daugther and i was suppose to go to the mall to eat lunch... but decided not to because there was no jeep in sight to take us there... so we just went to my in-laws house to watch the fight... Well, the whole Philippines ecstatic with this victory... since it just proves that Manny Paquiao is the greatest fighter in the world today... though i feel sorry for Hatton... seems like Manny had no plans of giving him any chance... unlike the other boxers he faught and defeated...

With an impressive record of 48 wins and only one lost and the hype on how good Hatton is, Manny did just the right thing. Pacquiao did not compromise and play around with the Hitman.
