Got my staples out

Knee without staples - The picture is a little dark. I had the camera on the wrong setting...lol. You can still see it though.

I went back to the doctor this evening and had the staples removed from my knee. It wasn't too painful, just little stings each time he pulled one out. M knee is still ugly, but it is feeling better. I can almost move it normally now. Still can't go back to walking though. He said I did sprain my ankle, and until I can walk on it without it hurting at all, or hurting more the next day when I'm on it the day before, I can't walk for exercise. I can do my exercise bike now though! I just wanted to get back to some kind of cardio exercise. So, I'm moving right along, slowly but surely.

Ouch! I had staples after I had a C section and I admit it hurt more before they were taken out because they were pulling and the actual removal procedure was not as painful as I had anticipated. Any injury to the knee would be particularly painful I would imagine and I guess it would take a while to regain full mobility. It's good you can use the bike again and get moving. Hope it all keeps going along as it should and you'll be back in fit form again!

Yeah, my husband had to have two staples in his shin. He said he figured the knee would be worse because it moves every time you do. Makes sense to me. It does feel beter without the staples in. I am going to do my bike later today. We'll see how it goes!

its amazing that taking staples and stitches out is so relatively painless, you'd think they'd hurt more

This was my first time having staples. I've never had stitches either. I really didn't know what to expect. My husband was able to tell me what they would do though, because he had to have staples a few months ago.

I got my first stitch when I cut my wrist open, and then loads of them after my reduction surgery

I hope you don't have to have any more stitches, and I hope I never have to have any. I don't hold out much hope though. I'm very clumsy, and I AM going to get back into my training as soon as possible, so will probably have more falls.

Glad to hear you got Office Depot to take their staples back. Hope you feel better soon, thanks for the update.

LOL They really do look like everyday staples. For some reason I thought medical ones would look different. I'm glad they are out. They didn't hurt, but did pull and sting when I moved sometimes.
