Do you love yourself?

To love someone,it is well said you must be able to love yourself first. Thus mylotters this is indeed very important that you love yourself first and only then shower your true love to others, like children and spouse or other people you meet daily and interact with! What do you think?

I totally disagree..not EVERYONE is selfish at all..and loving yourself DOES NOT make you selfish provided you arent self absorbed and such....

I absolutely believe that in order to REALLY love another person you must love yourself first....Unfortunately when you DON'T love yourself you really dont realize that the ppl you are claiming to love (other than your children) you really arent loving at all..You're just playing a game not only with yourself but with them too...

As far as today, I think I really don't know myself. I think I have to know myself better first before loving it.

one must love oneself. one must values one's own qualities and must be optimistic about one's efforts. if one loves and respects oneself then it would be easy for one to love and respect the other person. one can empathise with the other person and hnce feel for the other.

I don't think i love myself yet in a way that i myself can find true love. I have come close to loving many a time but never ever found the true connection with any other being. I think i may need to take some time to find myself because right now i am not making any progress to finding a soulmate so i do not think that i love myself to the fullest extent i posibly could
