Are you a woods person or a beach person? They are both beautifl. I don't have either here in Dallas. I prefer the beach, although I like good forest as well. What do you prefer and why

I am picking the beach. I actually am going to spend a weekend in a couple of weeks at York Beach in Maine. I love the smell of the salt, the lulling sounds of the waves crashing against the rocks. I enjoy the sun and sand. I love to play frisbee on the beach and help my kids build a sand castle. I feel very relaxed at the beach. Not to mention the sun tanning. I do also love the woods, but I hate bugs. :) I have lived in the country most of my life and I spent 7 years living on a mountain in Ashuelot NH, so I have had enough of the trees and woods. Time for the beach! :) Good luck in figuring out which one is for you. Just giving my 2 Cents.

I have never been to the beach in Maine. Much less to Maine. I would love to go. I have heard awesome things about it. Maybe someday I will get to visit.

I have not been to Maine in years and I mean years. This time I am bringing my little boys and my husband so it should be a good weekened. My little ones have never been to an ocean beach. I hope someday you get a chance to go.

Hi Amy! I am more of a beach person. Just seeing the blue ocean and hearing the waves just gives me quite a good happy feeling. I love snorkeling and really wouldn't mind having a sun-burnt skin. I share my enthusiasm with the beach with my son. In fact we are going on our annual family trip next week and I can't wait to go on my first scuba diving experience. Summer is just great!

Hi. ambrezik. I am more of a beach kind of person. I enjoy the scenery of the waves and cool breeze of the sunshine melting on my body. I don't like the woods too much because there are too many insects and plants all over the place.

I prefer the beach over the woods because of the sun. The woods is often a humid place - it leaves the hikers hot and sticky. Although I like the adventure of the woods, I'd prefer white sand over big trees to relax. If it were to become a profession though, I'd rather be a hiker than someone involved in beach safety or whatever :P It would provide better exercise! Thanks for the response on my discussion :)

I like both, and it is hard for me to choose one of the things. I like the beach, and I like to swim in the ocean, to read, write or just talk to my friends. I like to study at the beach and I often bring my books if I have to study for an exam. The beach is a great place to enjoy the sunshine. I also like the forest and I enjoy walking around in a beautiful and peaceful forest. When I lived in Estonia I had to walk through a forest every day on my way to work, and I just loved that walk. Everything was so peaceful there, and it was the perfect start of the day.

I don't think I could really choose. I absolutely love beaches, because I grew up in Michigan with a lot of beautiful beaches around. But I also really enjoy being in the woods with all of the trees and the animal sounds. One of my favorite places in my hometown was a state park that had several miles of hiking trails in the woods, and the trails all came out onto the beach of Lake Michigan. The best of both all in one park!

hello there! i'm a beach person by nature but i also love the greens of the forest. however if i have to choose, i'd rather be at the beach and have a worry-free relaxation as compared to the forest where i have to worry about mosquitoes and wild animals during night time.

I love beaches too.....Though both are a good travel destination.I love beaches because I enjoyed a lot over there. I like snorkeling.I also enjoy in beach either by sitting or lying down.I also like to photograph the sunrise and sun set.Unfortunately,I don't don't stay near to a beach city. So I will have to travel for hours to get there.

I LOVE the beach. Unfortunately I don't live very close to any beaches. I grew up basically in the woods though. Maybe that's why I love the beach so much? Because it's something I only get to visit like once a year?

I prefer my house to be near the wood because I have been near the beach many times and I would also like to walk in the woods in the week ends now with my family so definitely I will choose the wood this time.
