Will the Lakers maintain their intensity?

Game one is in the books and the Lakers dominated. 59-22 in the paint. That is exactly the kind of effort that will make them champions. Problem though. In these playoffs they seem to dominate and then go to sleep. We've seen that every series they've played this year. Do that again here and I think the Magic are good enough to make it bite them in the butt. To some it may seem cold blooded but when you have your opponent on the ropes you have to finish them off. Start toying with them and you could spend them summer wondering where it all went wrong. Which Lakers team are we going to see in game two?

Philbo . . I see you are a basketball fan . . and not that I am trying to change the subject here . . . but . . do you think the NY will ever see a basketball team again? If it is the Lakers you are rooting for Im with you . .

I'm a Raptors fan. I understand your pain. New York is going to go to the playoffs again sometime but management has got to get and keep their act together. They also have to become more than a jump shooting team. Raptors have the same problem. I think to have success in the playoff a team has to be able to take the ball to the hole with authority. That doesn't necessary mean having the biggest bad boys. It means being tough. Lakers have all the pieces for a great team. I'm not a big fan but I do like Kobe, Pau and company. I also like Phil Jackson since his playing days although his team bailed him out the other day. I think the coaching edge on that one went the other way. I'm not terribly impressed with Van Gundy and outside of Howard I'm not a big fan of the Magic.

thanks guys . .Philbo is very correct in saying that until the Knicks get management under control..meaning get Dolan out, NY wont have a team. Talk of LeBron has been in the works all year . . . and trust me as a die hard basketball lover I would love for him to come and have the Garden be his home court .. .. b u t look at what they did to Marbry. Interesting in Philbo's post here he mentioned Phil Jackson (center for the Knicks some time back , , Van Gundy also past ties to coaching the Knicks and not a bad record with them .. no one in forever that has been a Knick under present management that we can boast about . . So sad . .NY has some of the greatest fans . .and I all we can do here is hope and pray to see a Knick team rise again. Like I said LeBron may come here but that just wont be enough to bring back the KNicks of yesteryear!

Rumor has it that the New York Knicks is willing to buy Mr. Lebron James, who happens to be a FREE agent after the postseason. There are high speculation that James might grab the chances of earning what could possibly be the highest contract ever serve to a player in NBA history.

Lakers toughed out a win in game two. Seems they didn't let up this time. Hats off to them because that was no easy win. Magic showed they belong here and they are going to make the Lakers earn it. I think they are going to split the next two games in Orlando. Lakers in six.

Definitely the lakers seem the better team to take the championship thsi year. you can tell how hungry kobe is for it. Nothing taken away from the magies though. "superman" howard seems to be putting the intensity in, but the unquestionable skill of kobe seems to be pushing the lakers towards and closer to the championships. Anyways, lets see how it goes in the rest of the games

I think the key to this series is as much Bynum as it is Kobe. Bynum even if he gets into foul trouble every game he puts a dent in Howard's game. Howard has not faced another centre in the playoffs with the presence of Andrew Bynum. That has already been a big difference in this series. Howard is not dominating the paint and the Lakers are up two games to none.
