How many Indians are proud of their color (Brown). I am Proud of being Brown.

I am an Indian from southern part of India. I am Brown and i always stay proud of my color. I am in Australia and this affirmation has increased much more. Indians always like to become white in color but they forget their ancestors color and their obsession for being white is not much worth because they are classified as brown.
I need to know your views and also how you define your stand on Australian racial attacks.

I have never seen it that way. I am not unhappy. May be it would have looked better if I were fairer. But I Think the racial attacks in any way is very very shameful.But I think anyway they want to decline the attacks as 'Racial'. Its better they learn to solve this soon.

Hi Subha,See again our excessism of being fair and not being as we are is again the problem.
Blacks are proud of their color and we being fair does not change our origin color here in Australia. They still call us blacks.

I have never given any thought to me complexion…it is the most natural thing to me. of course I like fair skinned people…who doesn’t admire clear peach and cream complexion, but my wheatish colour complexion has never been of much significance to me.
Regarding the recent incidents in Australia, well racism in any form for any reason and anywhere in the world should be protested against in strongest terms…it should never be encouraged…the quicker the Aussies learn this the better for them.

Be it in Australia or America,racism should be strongly condemned.Judging people with skin colors should be avoided.I don't see any valid reason to get proud of my color.Because we can't do anything of it.We got it in nature and we have to accept it.
In fact,this racism during alliance seeking for marriages in India should be condemned in the first case.They always want white colored girls for black or brown boys.LOL!Cheers!
