How do you cheer up someone when he/she is in terrible gloom.Sometimes I remember the days when my sister would take me for a walk or for some shopping or dinner, if I would be sad. There are sometimes when people love to stay in gloomy state rather then try ways to come out of the situation. They feel its their destiny and are happy that way. What do you have to say for such people, who donot believe, they have the right to access inflow of happiness into their deserted life.

There's a difference between people who enjoy their gloomy state and people how believe it is their destiny to be gloomy. I think it's fine to enjoy gloominess, sorrow, sadness, and so forth because they are not bad emotions in and of itself. All emotions are a treat to experience and a genuine marker of what it means to be alive and human. But I am getting ahead of myself. To your question of people who do not believe they have the right to access happiness. I believe that these people are in their situation due to their attitudes about life, they way they think, their self perception, etc. The should seek out a meaning in their life and strive for that meaning.
