Hey ppl, I've lost my job at the end of April and up to this date I still haven't manage to find a job. I went through a few interviews but all unsuccessful. Anyway today I applied for this entry level receptionist job asking for high school leavers. I thought I will give it a go since I want to gain experience at an office environment. A lady called and asked if I've just finished high school. I said no, I just finished university. Then the lady goes "Im sorry then, you won't be considered in this case because we are only looking for high school leaver to do some very very basic stuff for us" I was very upset to hear that. I was thinking like at my age, applying for a job too easy they won't accept me, applying a job too much professionalism related to my degree is too much competition/just too hard to get these days. I'm thinking am I destined to be working for a company or have a business of my own?

Yes,find a proper job is very hard at this time. I am also facing this problem. Big company I can't through, small company I don't care. Maybe holding a technic is the easy way to find a job. I have considered have my own business, but it needed a lot of money...

Hello snoopy88, sorry to hear that you lost your job and are finding it difficult to get another one, but that is the condition of millions of people around the world due to the worldwide economic slowdown. The people who are hit the hardest are those who have very high degrees as they cannot find work which is commensurate with their education. All these years they were taking a fat paycheck every month with all perks and now they find that they have no job, loans to pay etc. This crisis has hit everyone including the common man and i sincerely hope that it gets over very soon. Today one has to take what one gets and be happy. I hope and pray that you will get the job of your liking. I wish you the best of luck.

But then, at this time, i havent find when i could have it.:) you know,. if you still find yourself unhappy with that, why dont you have your own business then? there's nothing really matters when it comes in trying new things.:) try it for yourself.:)
