Yes, it is true. There are those who take the political debate too far when it comes to satire. Is the attached photo such an instance? Even thouugh it is very durn funny? What do you say?

There was a time in history when even if you did not vote the person in office or you didn't like him, you accepted it. You didn't see those kinds pictures or read the stuff you read today. However, politics and personal integrity of politicians have changed. The more daring politician become the more daring the public and the media become. There is actually a call for it. The position of President of the United States of America calls for respect of both the person and who holds the position and the public. When the person holding that position does the things that Obama does and gets away with the what Obama does, the public will respond in kind. When Kennedy was in office I was just a baby so I won't comment on that. Let's start with Carter. He gave an interview to Playboy and spoke of the lust in his heart. How intelligent is that? He is bringing down his position as President. Common sense should tell him that is wrong. He is opening his position for attack, criticism, satire. Reagan was excellent. Nobody had to tell him how to be respectful. He just was! Then there was Clinton and all his affairs including what he did in his office with Monica. She even had the dress to prove it. He also brought down the office of President. He made a joke out of it. Even though many people may not have agreed with all his decisions, President Bush did have respect for his position. Now we have Obama, and I wouldn't know where to begin. He has not only brought down the office of President, he is bringing down the country. All hell has broke loose. The office of President is no longer respected. People don't think of him as President because he doesn't act like one.

Personally I think it is funny. I don't think it is racist he is proud of his Kenyan heritage and I think witch doctors are respected over there. I know in the USA as president Obama has not earn my respect. BTW I have never capitalized the "P" since Obama won the popularity contest for president with help of the besotted media.

Why can't there ever be a discussion without the US vs THEM thing happening?

Well, the picture is not satirical but rather a racist slur aimed at ridiculing Obama. Satire is witty and sharp, this is just crass all the best urban

I do not support Obama....and contrary to your way of thinking about us Republican conservatives....I didn't support Bush either. I think the picture is in bad taste and perhaps does reek of a bit of racism. But I also see where the crass way the president is treated is a backlash for how the American public feels it's been treated by HIM. It is also an indication of the loss of respect we are feeling for the Office of President...and it does have alot to do with the lack of character in the men who have served in that capacity in the last few decades, both Democrat and Republican.

Odd, from a European perspective; both your parties are right wing with little to choose between them yet from here it is clear that Bush came to power in a far worse way and treated the American people worse. Look only at some of the legislation he passed giving your government powers to act against citizens and force citizen to act against citizen in a manner that would never be tolerated in UK. In fact under the amendment to your constitution all good Americans were called upon to take up arms against Bush but none did. Seems Americans have lost that great spirit which it is reputed was once the hallmark of your countrymen all the best urban

Actually, I don't find the picture racist at all. All Presidents have fun made of them. To treat 0bama any differently would be condenscending. Blacks secure in the knowledge of who they are do not get offended when they are treated just like everyone else. Take a gander at some of the old images of Bush. Being protrayed as a witch doctor is mild stuff.

The witch doctor in chief. Can satire go to far, sure but hay that photo is funny. Here you got a man that does not know the first thing about medicine yet he think he should make important medical decision.

It's borderline if you ask me, but it's damn funny too! The immediate things that comes to mind are possible racist undertones, but when you break it down, it's not racist at all I don't think! It's a policy slur and a good one at that! LOL.

Actually, it is a compliment to 0bama. The witch doctor is the outstanding example of cutting edge medical technology for a certain type of culture. In the societies where that culture exists, all individuals are afforded the very best medical care available. It matters not whether one is the chief or a villager. The best is available to all. Can we say that?

Sure, why the heck not! And the drumstick through the nose can be representational of his plan to "make no bones about it"!

I say it is bang on. The fact is that 0bozocare will do about as much good as what a Witchdoctor would... hell, I bet the witchdoctor would be preferable to the mess we are about to have inflicted on us.

At least with witch doctors, those suffering from psychosomatic illness often recover! So, yes, a witch doctor might be better than 0bama_care.

Maybe it doesn't go far enough. If Obama has his way with the healthcare overhaul, the kind of healthcare depicted in that picture is about the only kind we're going to get.

As you and I are unimportant persons without any consequence what does it matter that we should suffer a lack of health care? Rejoice in the knowledge that our leaders will have the best available! All praise and thanks for 0bama.

Ah, sometimes I forget how unimportant the masses are to the present administration. Perhaps we should apply to be some sort of czar. No experience needed for those jobs.

Of course, Silly. Any criticism of Brother Barry is "too far". The collectivists, federalists, liberals, communists... whatever you want to call them must take a course in being insulting then shifting gears and looking hurt, filling up with righteous indignation. The Pros can do it in the same sentence.

That must be why so many actors are liberals. If you are a liberal, you must know how to be an actor anyway.
