Have you ever felt like committing suicide? Is committing suicide a sin?

Most religious faith consider committing suicide as sin. Why? When we have the free will to live as we like, don't we have the same free will to end our lives? Do you subscribe to the view that committing suicide is a sin? Do you ever think that religion has no business to intervene in such matters? Have you, at any part of your life, felt like committing suicide? If so, ignoring the causes, do you still feel right now, that your mental state at that point of time was totally justifiable?

It depends on the problem. I don't think it an act of cowardice. If there is something that can be shorten is life itself because once you took away the important things in life there is no meaning left to it anymore. Sacrifice is the next best thing to do if you want to stay alive while you don't have the option to die ;)

Who knows? The truly important things in God's scheme of things might come much later in life than your own judgment! And I believe, the "important things" in God's scheme of things may even include lots of more suffering, that one ought to undergo as a way of punishment to one's past sinful deeds. I believe, under divine rule, there is no shortcut to the law of karma and any smart circumventing act will only lead to more suffering for the soul.

i have tried it long ago, and have thought about it often. but to me it's the easy way out of life. it's selfness of a person not to think of others who will be hurt by it. i remind myself all the time why not too.. my wife, kids, and grandkids. and some other people as well. to me it's just a punk way out. it's a sin because we dont get to decide when our time is up, suppose to be God

Even in an office, we can't take a decision in an area where the boss is supposed to decide. Hence, you are quite right that we can't take a decision on a matter only God has the right to do!

For me it's a big sin.. Only our Creator has the right time and the right way to get what HE gave to us and not we.. Just wait for the right time when he wants to get you and not by killing your own...
