Hi there I was wondering if when you are reading a discussion in myLot and you come across a really sad story in one of the responses, are you allowed to sympathise with the responder, or is that considered barging in? I really do more reading that writing here in myLot and I feel for so many myLotters when they tell a small part of their own stories. It really makes me put things in perspective about my own life. I wish I could somehow let the responders know that I feel for them. I know it will provide little comfort from half way across the world, but what else could I do?

I would respond with my true feeling as that is the whole point of the discussions on here.It is not barging if you put hope things get better for you or think of you as that is the kind of things you would say to a person in the street or a friend if they told you something.I think nice words always help.

Of course we are free to sympathize with those members who are experiencing some bad things that happened to them. Barging in is not prohibited. Therefore, anyone with an interest in a particular topic can always get in or barge in and participate. In fact, there are many mylot members who are doing this. I can surely feel sorry for those who had some troubles because I know that there are times when I am in a similar or the same situation.
