...it's true that people in highlands, particularly in benguet, love to eat rotten dog meat? how grooossssssss!!!!!! eewwww!!!

it's a shame but yes,some people eat dog meat in my country.yes,I live in the Philippines.these people eat dog meat because of poverty.it is readily available,no need to buy since dogs are all around the place.some are just plain darn brainless and eat dog meat for fun.yes I agree with you..so gross!

Some of them are in real poverty. no money to buy for white meat. so they eat Exotic Meats. Like me, i have eaten Pigeons, and Dogies. Sorry just want to taste it. :D

Cooking dos are really hard to do. to kill all bacterias in their meat they should be heated under the sun for at least a day.

hi!! yup maybe it's cheap and yes exotic, but one of my igoy (male igorot) buddy told me, the reason they love rotten dog meat is to keep there body warm complementing the liqour, and here's more worst ang grossss, they starve the dog for couple of days and a day before they execute the dog, LOL!! they feed the dog with plain rice then the following morning after executed the dog they will open the esophagus and scrape off the glucose came from rice and eat it with liqour....yaakkk!!! and they said it's taste!!! they are crazy!!!...ooppts!! apologie for those eating somethine while reading my response..

I am from the Philippines and some people in different areas eat dogs. But I have not heard nor seen anyone eating rotten dog meat. Usually it is fresh and they often cook it with tomato sauce. I really do not eat such but a lot of them swears that its delicious.

...i think it's there culture and climate, there reason is, rotten dog meat makes your body warm...bbbbbbut! i don't but it even i get drunk!! LOL!!

I've never heard of people eating rotten dog meat...but I do know of people in the Philippines who do eat dog meat. In fact, my old dog was eaten :( Not by us of course, it was a bunch of drunk men. Apparently it's a common practice. But I agree with you....gross!
