I don't have this cd yet, but I've listened to a lot of the songs on myspace, and I love them, especially Black Gives Way To Blue--I think the new singer sounds a lot like Layne Staley, just want to think what everyone's take is on it...a friend of mine said that he would never listen to the album because "I would never cheat on Layne" does anyone else feel like that?

Yeah he sounds a bit like Layne but i still prefer Layne though. It's good to hear that they are getting back together and creating new songs.

The new singer does sound a lot like Layne. I've been a fan for many years and I want to like the new stuff, but it's just not the same. I think that maybe they should have renamed themselves because a lot of fans feel like it's just not Alice in Chains without him.
One of my friends thinks they picked someone who sounded like Layne on purpose and she won't buy the c.d. Personally I'm still on the fence about buying it or not.
