Are new manufactured home prices negotiable??

We are looking at buying a new home, it's a manufactured home. The price is $71,995, but the guy will give us a deal and drop the price to $69,995. Ok, $2,000 doesn't sound like much of a deal. Should I negotiate? CAN I negotiate? Do I have any room for negotiations? For that kind of money, they should at least move it for free. I'm buying it right off the lot, it's already been manufactured, the price should be flexible. It's amazing what homes go for. There should be some kind of price cap and a huge discount for first time buyers. I should be able to walk in and say, 'I will buy this house from you for $60,000 and you move it.' So if anyone has any info on whether manufactured homes are negotiable, or if you have any idea for me, I'm all ears. Thanks so much.

Yes. You can definitely negotiate the price. We bought a manufactured home 11 years ago and we negotiated the price from the seller to get it in our price range. Some sellers will work with you and some won't.

Hi jissigirl. Buying a manufacturing home is some what risky with out checking properly every documents properly. Before buying enquire about that house with neighbours . If your investigation goes well and u find dat every thing is correct then you can definitely proceed to buy it

In the present economic climate I sould think that practically anything can be haggled over. He needs to sell the house and get it off his lot, you don't actually need to buy it. OK you want to buy it, but don't tell the salesma that, make it clear that you have other options that you are considering, even if you don't. You might be surprised at what you can get.
