Never worry about nonessential numbers such as your age and your weight.Keep only cheerful friends because unless you are strong enough to pull the grouches up, they will pull you down.Always keep learning new things, learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever it is that you enjoy. Laugh often, laugh long and laugh loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. The tears will happen too but just endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. surround yourself with what you love and who you love whether it's family, pets, music, plants, hobbies,or whatever makes you happy. Your home is your refuge keep it a place where you can always be yourself. Look after your health,if it is good, preserve it, if it is unstable, improve it, if it is beyond what you can improve, get help. Don't take guilt trips, take a trip to the mall, even to another country but never take a guilt trip. Tell the people you love that you love them at every opportunity. Forgive and forget the shortcomings of others but especially of yourself. Remember always we are all children of the universe and have a right to be here.

Hello dear Pose. It makes me feel so happy to have read this nice and meaningful topic of yours. You are absolutely right in what is talked about in the discussion. There is a very important thing that I have discovered about human nature---our attitude we face people and things really counts. What kind of life we wish to lead all depends on our personality and attitude. If we are positive towards people and things, we are sure to enjoy more of ourselves and stay young. I am in general a happy person like my father who is happy and positive. My father is 83 and he looks forward to living up to at least 100 and more. I am happy for my father, who is carefree and loves exercises to keep himself fit and healthy. Enjoy your life to the fullest, my dear Pose. Once again, I appreciate and thank you for your nice discussion.

Hi williamjisir, Thank you for sharing your thoughts and it's good to know that your father is doing so well. My father lived to be 95 years old, although he was blind for the last 25 but he rarey complained. Blessings my friend.

Wow Pose, your words are so inspirational, as always. What you say is so very true and I follow many of them myself, some unconsciously and others I have imbibed by practice. I don’t care about my age, rather as a woman, I never hide or lie about it. I’ve seen most women lie about their age yet its my thoughts that the more we admit that yes, we are aging and its but natural, the less are our chances of fear and worry on this. About my weight…yes I do worry about that but its only coz I’m scared of obesity…normal weight is normal to me…I’m not going to the catwalk! I’ve very few friends as most of them I feel nag all the time about so many problems which are common to all of us. Mylot rather is the platform where I seek useful information and exchange of ideas to pep me up! About the other things…you are so experienced that you know most things people go thru in their lives and I am no exception. I draw strength from God and whenever the going gets real tough, I always tell myself that its only one life and I can manage thru. No need to worry!

Hi xdaisyx, You are right, none of us can really tell much about the person we are talking with, but in some ways this is also true in real life. We are often shocked when a friend does something that seems completely out of character. I guess I'm like most people just doing my best here. I try to pass alone what I believe is good advice. I'm pleased that you agree. Blessings.

Yes, lots of good advice here. They did a survey of people over 100 years old. They all had three things in common. 1, They all got exercise. 2. They all had something to do.3. They all got over things easily. If something bad happened, they got over it quickly.

Hi bird, I hadn't heard of the survey, but it doesn't really surprise me. I think that all three of these are important, but it's the last one that seems to get the least attention. We hear a lot about exercise and having something to do but to not hold a grudge is not mentioned as often. Those who are able to forgive and move on, even those with the ability to laugh at themselves are great people to be around, no wonder they live so long. Thanks for your comment. Blessings.

wow that is very inspiring, and so true, I think it all boils down to positive thinking and positive living...unfortunately most people don't wake up to what life is all about until it is too late....lets just all be happy and love one another.

Good advice there, especially the first. Age is nothing but a number and should not dictate what we can or can't do. We can always find something to laugh at - especially at ourselves, and especially if that number is rising. (but we aren't taking notice of that number are we?)
