Irregular menstruation....is there any solution?

Menstruation occurs in a woman every month, or in a cycle. This cycle should be regular so as to maintain homeostasis. But as I experienced, I had an irregular cycle. My first menstruation was when I was in my elementary days and up to the present ( I am already working), I still have the same problem. I sometimes escaped 1-3 months in my period. I also suffered from painful menstruation or dysmenorrhea. What maybe the cause of this one? Or have you known any solution to this problem?

The simplest solution about your irregular menstruation is to visit a doctor. You may have problems with your hormones. I think your doctor might say that you need to take pills to make your menstrual cycle regular, its the only way to make your hormones active so as your cycle. Visit your doctor soon as you can..

Pills? Isn't it unsafe? I mean i have heard some of my friends who are taking pills but for the reason that they are using it as birth control. Me being single i do not have to take it as birth control. I have heard there are some side effects when taking them. Oh well, might as well visit a doctor..Thank you doniep.

The best person to answer all your questions and to give a solution to that is a doctor, specifically a gynecologist. I suggest you consult one immediately to avoid anymore complications that may happen.

You need to go to obgynecologist to check your condition. I'm also experienced irregular menstruation too last March I experienced Menorrhagia or heavy menstrual bleeding for 1 month. I'm afraid of my condition because I'm single and it is my first time to experience irregularities. My ultrasound is normal the doctor said that it is hormonal imbalance so I need to take pills for 3 months so menstruation going to be normal. I stop taking pills because it is depressing and I gain weight.
