...and say for you that the sun don't shine? Let me take you by the hand, and lead you through the streets of london I'll show you something, to make you change your mind. that's how the song goes, Streets of London. It made me think today of how many times we rave and rant about something that we are not happy about, when actually it's just a small thing. How can we feel lonely when there are abandoned orphans out there? how can we feel poor when there are people who have lost kith and kin in Haiti just in a space of hours due to an earthquake? So today, let's take time to be thankful that even if we don't have everything that we wished we had or needed, to be able to sit in front of a screen like this in relative comfort and security is a big blessing in itself already.

Better yet. Let's go lend a helping hand. Busy people don't get lonely. There is always someone who needs help in this world.

For sure.....and this was brought to mind yesterday for me when I watched the devastation that has rocked Haiti....what a catastrophe! I can't imagine what they are going through.....and it makes me more thankful for what I have!

Being lonely can be felt individually, especially deep in our hearts.. We might not even lose anything, and have everything we want, but that does not mean we are not lonely.. Even if one has got all relatives and kins by our side, and yet we dun cherish them, what difference does it make as compared to those haiti victims?? There will always be times whereby we feel helpless, no matter how mnay friends we have around us, but none of them can help at all.. That's the time, lonliness kicks in, and that makes one feel even worse, than nobody to help at all.. hehe

squaretile good for you, yes we all forget in our complaining about our problems how blessed we really are. do we have a warm bed, a warm room, food to eat, a safe place to live, are we in ou of the rain? yes well then make some prayers for those who have lost everything who are not in warm rooms, and warm beds and have no food. we just must realize we do have so much to be thankful for and forget for a few moments our troubles. I am grateful that I let my son put me here as he is still out of work, I am grateful that I am safe and warm and fed. this new year will be much better. so now I am grateful for my computer and the net and dear old mylot. good discussion.

it is natural for us to rant, to vent, to complain and to feel unsatisfied.... but yes we need to take a deep breath, count our blessings and look around. then we will be thinking that compare to others the thing we are complaining is just a small dot of others burden. but then again we will not realize it unless we feel pissed. but atleast we realize it some people just complain no knowing nor realizing that they are blessed.
