Making a dream come true

For many years, my husband and I had a dream. It was to own our own business serving sweet treats, coffees and teas. I have to admit I was afraid. Afraid of so many things that could happen. After a couple months of thinking about it. I finally decided that we needed to give it a try. So we went into business for ourselves. It was a lot of work, after being open almost a year, having spent all of our savings, going into huge debt, our business is closed. I cried at all the loss that we have gone through. It is important to try and make your dreams come true. But, I wonder if I am regretting doing so? Now that this has happened I am more afraid to try and make any other dreams come true. Is this wrong?

It's never wrong to be scared of something as life changing as going into business for yourself, especially if things don't work out. It was amazingly brave of you to give it a try, which is more than a lot of people can say about their dreams, including me. You shouldn't regret trying to live your dream, because you didn't know at the time that things wouldn't work out, and it shouldn't hinder you from trying to achieve other dreams you have. Just because one thing went wrong doesn't mean that everything will. I wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide to do, and I hope that you can take pride in knowing that you are a brave woman.
