Have you put white and colour one in the same washmachine then become colour?

Have you ever put white and colour cloth together in the same washing machine, then the white one just coloured?
The first seanson of Friends rachel try to do laundry herself, and she put a red sock in the white clothes one, then all the white clothes become pink. It's kind funny to see other like this. But today I put white towel in the dark blue coat in the same washing machine, my white towel just turn to a light blue towel, kind want cry, but still funny. Is there any chance that the towel could be bleach become white again? Any adivce?

Hahahaha. I have done this a lot of times and I never learn. LOL. I managed to wreck my sister's favorite white blouse because I washed it with my yellow long sleeves, and after it dried, her blouse was almost yellow already. hahahaha. She hated me for that, but she soon forgot about it. Hehehehe. I don't remember how many clothes I have soiled because I don't follow the number rule in doing the laundry. Hahahaha.

I know. I have been more careful lately, since I have uniforms in my office, and I can't really spoil them cause I have no other uniform, and I won't get a new one till a year after. hehe.

So sorry about your towel and Im afraid the damage is done, cant be reversed.
Ive notice that you can mix color and not have any bad happen IF and I say "IF" all the clothes have been bleached before. Let me explain, I wash my towels, bedsheets, some of my clothes in bleach and if I mixed them together, even if they're red and white, nothing will happen. But if Im to mix something with the towels that hasnt been bleached before, the color will leak.

You're very welcome. Just be sure its not something you like just in case it doesnt work. Im sure it must depend on the type of fabric and even the type of bleach you might be using.

I've never done that really! I just put the colours as well as the whites in together and it doesn't seem to make any difference. The whites are still white when they come out and the colours remain coloured with no loss of colour if that all makes any sense!
. I think it's too expensive in today's climate to do separate washes for colours and whites. I'm trying to save on the electricity so I only do one wash per week but I live on my own in any case so this is fine for me and all I need. Andrew

Just put zonrox that can change the color to white but the time so very hard because you need to much time to wash until it is perfectly erase.

As far as I am concerned, I seldom put the white clothes with the colour ones together ,which I think they will become the colour ones. I was afraid of this happened. So I usually seperate them and put the colour one in one wasing machine,the withe ones in another machine .This action helps me a lot in washing clothes.

Once a scarf was inside my saree and without seeing, I put it in the washing machine. Then the white top of my daughter became red. It was her favourite top and I had nice scoldings from her. You can try drying the towel in hot Sun. After few occasions it will become partially white. Or give it for bleach.

good day. my wife is the one who washes our clothes so i am safe to that. but one time when i was still single i put a colored tshirt on the bunch of white ones that i was washing. i didnt see that there was a colored one. i even put clorine on the water so that my white shirts can even get whiter. but it didnt work i damged a lot of white shirt and the colored one faded so badly. i was so pissed that i lost almost 5 favorite white shirt that i have.

I have the same experience with you.I think if you want to wash many different colors cloth,you should divide them into two parts.dark color such as red,black,deep blue,put those cloth together,and the lighter color such as yellow,pink,white,those colors are ok.if you are unfortunately put them together and already mixe the color with eachother,I think you should buy some bleach water in the super market to have a try,maybe it works,but I am not sure.just have a try.

Hi shan.I think, before we put clothes in washmachine or wash by hand is we have to put apart some clothes wich faded.When my white clothes only one or two, I put it same.It's doesn't matter.For your white towel has becomed light blue, you can put whitener in the water and let it for a few minute.

hi shan, how are you? to be honestly, i never mix the white clothes with the color clothes, i wash in different moments, and i never mix the light color clothes with the dark clothes! if i do this, gointo be a disaster!
and of course, i never mix with the body clothes with under wear, i wash with my hands.. i dont like to make a big colom of underwear! the idea for me is discusting!

I always wash together the white and the color clothes and the colors never mix. In the case of what happened to you, I don't really know how to make your towel back to white. You could try bleach, but that damages the fabrics a lot, so the best option is to enjoy your new and cute blue towel

My husband has put the white school tshirts in with dark blue works clothes before and he was trying to help by doing the washing,it was when the washing had finished he told me that he had done all the washing only to find that the dye had came out of the dark stuff and turned the white tshirts blue.Even with the bleech it did not turn the school tshirts white so i had to buy more tshirts.

Hi, yeah, I ever had same experience. It is very sad when I know the result of washing which red color has destroy the other clothes. Since then, for new color clothes, I will be carefully when wash it. It must be washed separately to make sure they will not destroy the other clothes. For your towel, I am not sure if you can repair it. Anyway, have a nice day.

I don't know a way to fix that towel.
But when I read your post, I remembered that once I put a red cloth ith white clothes. And the result was... all white clothes were pink lol
