What is the best way to tell jokes? Why do some people tell great jokes and others tell realy bad jokes. Is it all in the way the joke is told? I think some people are just funny with out trying to be and they can just say anything and it will be funny. I had a friend that was like that. He was always making jokes. It got so all he had to do was walk in the room and people would start to laugh knowing he would say something funny. Anyone know someone like that? What makes them so funny? How can they remember all those jokes?

Being the joker amongst my friends (they have often said so themselves, so it isn't just an inflated ego speaking here), it's more in the way of how I tell them and the fact that they know me as being funny that makes them laugh more than the actual joke itself

OH, OK, sure that makes sence. People know you are a funny person and are waiting for that joke to laugh. That would work. What about new people and friends. The ones that have never heard your jokes before. How do you get them use to laughing at you/ your jokes? Perhaps you are just a funny person at heart? Do you do things also around them , besides telling jokes, that is seen to be funny?

One must understand the audience moods before starting a joke. And he/she must be a good narrator without any inhibitions. And punch line delivery is very important.most people miss it at that point of ending a nice joke. And one must enjoy his jokes in the first hand.

Well spoken. Yes I can see how the audience mood would be something to ponder about first. What about, if you read a joke and it don't seem funny to you and someone reads it and it was funny to them? What is up with that?
