Hi mylotters, we all have budgets and we try to restrict ourselves to our monthly budgets, at the end of the month are you able to account for all the money you spent. Including entertainment?

Yes, I try to jot down everything that I have spent for the last month or so, it helped because I can track down how much money I spent and where I spend it on.I tend to just spend money when I go out so it is good that I know my limit and just spend on things that I really need.

I am trying to really account all my expenses every month, so in the end, I can check where is the majority of my expenses, where can I adjust and where I should really cut my expenses. I have done this just this January, and it really helps me in handling my finances.

I haven't done that sad to say. I just buy something, and not put it down. Maybe I should have though, as I did get myself in a bind and it was my own fault, as I thought I could buy something as I thought I had the money for it, when in essence I didn't. Lately though, I have been more careful what I spend and how much. I think I will start writing it down though, so I won't have to wonder where the money when and what it went for. Up until Wednesday of this week, I was having a very bad time making ends meet as I had more bills than i could pay for. I managed somehow to get them paid, usually, but didn't have much left at the end of the month. Now that I have money, I am certainly not going to blow it and use it up, as I want ot start saving money every month, and I know I can do it, as now, I have less bills to pay, since I paid my credit cards off, and my morttgage has been paid. Those alone would take over $1000 every month alone, and I only brought in about $1900 a month. Now, I won't have to spend that $1000, so I will have plenty left each month after paying my normal bills which are only just a few, now, and well under $1000 a month to pay them. I feel so relieved now, that my credit cards and mortgage are taken care of, as that was a burden that was hard to bear, but now the burden has been lifted, so life is good now, and I am much more happier. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
