Hi, what will you if you feel that suddenly you were not happy and searching for something but you did not know what? Complicated, it's a weired feeling and every time I go to work I feel lazy, not satisfied. What do you think should I do? Have you felt like this before?

hi vycess, First of all I want to congratulate you because you have a work. You are still fortunate because not all people are employed. Many are striving hard just to get a work. Some spends much in applying but nothing happened due to tight competition nowadays. Some gives up and just do some sort of things which is illegal just to feed the mouth of his hungry family. I can relate with you because I feel that too sometimes. However, what me we do now is just do our best. If you no longer feel that you are being productive, then you can search for another job. When I was employed as a teacher in a private school, I did love my work but lately got lazy with it because my salary is very meager that I could not my family. And right now, I am applying in a public school in which I know I will earn better. I am just spending my days in our house and doing some online jobs.Although, I know that what will I earn here is not that much, I still feel happy because I know I am lucky. Again, I just think that I want to make the most out of my condition right now. Not all people can do what I do on the internet. Some wants to try to do online job because they have no computer or internet, they cannot do.

Yeah, I'm still fortunate. I will not resign because I have no other choice for now... I don't have any other alternatives or job offers from other org. or company. I hope I can figure this out. :)

Maybe you are too stress. Why not go unwinding with your friends? Maybe that will bring back the energy in you :)

Im in the same situation as yours right now. Ive been with my company for almost 5 years but i felt things are getting old. Im not as excited anymore when i go to work. I dont look forward for the day that will come that i have to spend time at work. When im at work i actually feel so weak, im not the same as it was before. Now im 100% sure that i needed a new job and im serious looking for a new one. If your not happy anymore and you think its not the job for you then get out of there. Better find a new one.

Five years? Wow, that is really tiring if your job is routinized. Unless my job is something really exciting and enjoyable, I wouldn't stay for long in a company.

Hi there vycess! There are times when we realize that we are no longer happy with what we are doing. It is not necessarily because we "HATE" what we are doing but there's probably much stress already. Or maybe things have become a routine. Taking time out would be a great strategy. But when we still are unhappy and not contented, maybe a new job would do the trick.

Though I haven't worked outside the house in the last four years, I do completely know what you are talking about. The job that I had that made me feel this way was when I worked at the hospital. I loved the work because I love working with people. However, I did have a lot of problems with my co-workers and that was the reason that I became so unsatisfied with my job. I ended up eventually quitting the job because of the co-workers but I really hated that I had to do it because I know it hurt my patients.

I have had this kind of feeling a whole Lotta times. I believe that life is so much better when you try to go with the flow. Life is what we make of it, when you feel lazy, you will just not like going to work at all. Try to find meaningful things about what you do in work and so that sure will make you try to like going to work again.

Hi vycess, Our work life is very important to us since it constitutes eight hours out of twenty four. If we are unhappy at work than it can spread to our life in general. If you are unhappy at work you should examine and reflect, why are you so unhappy at work. Do you feel underestimated or because of lack of appreciation? Do you think you could do a higher job perhaps better paid? If this is the reason I would try to seek and apply for a better job. If this is not the case I would wait and see if my work situation improves or not. Maybe you need to change your attitude towards life and work life especially. Good luck.

As some of the other myLotters have said, find another job first. if you are the competetive type, tune your other coworkers out and compete against yourself to do a good job today. Then tomorrow, compete against yourself to do a better job today than you did yesterday. Make the job interesting for "you."

Well, i feel you are looking out for a change. And many times i get this feeling, when the working atmosphere is not favorable or happy. And the work is same routine and when i dont get any recognition or approval. I rather feel, you can look for a change of job, you would feel better.

One time when I was working with Cosmos Bottling I was a department manager. Time came Cosmos was sold to Coke and an original Coke employee took my managerial position. I felt bad, so I decided to leave the company. Bad for me now, I can't find a job with the same or higher pay. My advise, if you are not happy in your job look for another job first before you resign.

Just try to enjoy what ever comes in your way. You feel bored mainly because you are not interested in what you are doing, if you were interested before and did not feel bored like how you are feeling now, then it will be good that you better learn to be happy like you use to do. Don't expect much and try to give more, than you will eventually become happy again. If you think that it is imposible for you to be happy working there, then you better look for a good job of your interest. Take care, happy mylotting.

I just went through this. In January I relaized this and tried everything to make it work out for two months. Early March I quit and felt such a weight off of my shoulders!! I have no job and bills need to get paid but I wouldnt change what I did at all. I didnt have time nor the energy to look for something else while I was at the first job and I was gettig physically sick going in every day and was just miserable. Not going in was the best thing in the world for me. I have no idea of what I want to do for a career but I do know what I dont want now :) I think that if you really just cant do it anymore, then quit. If you can hang in there until you find something else please do! Try online tests that tell you what you would be good at and think about the results...they may guide you to another field that you will like. I am currently thinking about every job that I come across in my daily life and if I might like doing that...IE: grocery store cashier, bank teller, coffee/donut girl etc. I am surprised to learn that possibly working at a thrift store makes me smile!

Hi Vycess, Maybe it's high time for you to have a break friend. when you do...reflect on things that's triggering such feelings. then make some resolution to overcome it. we only have one job to love this time of crisis. let's do our best to manage it. it's really hard to look for one ...a permanent one. now if there's a sure job for you to turn to then maybe it's good that you change work and environment. for the meantime try to manage what you feel and see positive things behind the boredom and laziness!

I know how that feels. You are not alone, just take a look at the other responses. Most of them aren't happy as well. It's a sad, sad thing especially here in the Philippines where we don't have much job opportunities other than office work. I have learned that lesson in my previous job--that my heart has to be in that job so that I wouldn't feel forced. Unfortunately I was just an out-of-school girl looking for a job to help me get back to college, I don't have a degree yet whatsoever, so I had to accept whatever work there was. You have to evaluate yourself. What is it that you really love doing? Then look for a job that involves your interests. If you passed, resign from your current job and welcome the new one.

Hello! My advice is to find another job that you can feel happiness and satisfied. usually, if we are not happy on what we are doing, we feel bored, so i think you must find another one that you can enjoy what you are doing. I know you can find better for you. Have a nice day!!!
