laffy taffy numbs mouths

Am I the only one that thinks this? It doesn't numb per say as much as it tastes numbing. The best example I can provide is how a food is not necessary hot but it tastes hot. That is how laffy taffy is to me. It does not numb my mouth but it has an after taste of numbness.
Maybe I am just insane and belong in a mental instate. Let me know your views

Lol. I know what you mean, I think it's just too much flavor and your tongue gets confused.

No its not too much flavor. In fact they are bland compared to other candy. I think it is just an ingredient they use. Its almost bland.. but numbing.

It might be that you have an allergic reaction when you eat them. I could eat an entire bag of them and I never feel a tingling or numbing or anything during or after I eat them. My friends daughter came over today and brough a bag of them to snack on it. Between my son and daughter the little girl and I that bag of candy is going pretty quickly hehe.
