i once asked a friend how he came to land a job in the army. his answer was "a suggestion from my girlfriend who is now my wife". as for me i wanted to do what i'm doing now before i started my college days. what about you myLotters. do you have that special someone who inspired you to land in the job you do right now? or it has always been your dream job? or what? your experience please.

I actually do not have a job right now. When I did work I can't say there was any inspiration to do the jobs I did as it was mainly cashier, stocker or waitress work. I've also been an in home aid. My husband did inspire me in a different way, and that was to quit my job. We were still just dating, though I think in an untechnical kind of way we had become fiance's, but he told me that I should quit my job if it makes me feel so bad. I was working a lot of hours without much rest, and I was dreading going to work so he told me to quit and I did.

I believe with what your husband said that if you are working for too long hours without much rest and if that is going to be bad for you then you should quit as you already have. I hope you get a better job that gives you time for yourself and time with your husband. Blessings and take care! I thank you for dropping by.

This was three years back, so I've already quit and had one other job since. I say 40 hours is enough a week, and gives time for family, friends, chores and errands!
