Windows 7 comes with a media center which lets to convert your PC into a multimedia entertainment center. Many don't know about this feature because it is not directly visible, but you have to do some setting to make this available. For this you need a minimum of 256 kbps broadband with an unlimited plan . And thus you can watch many international channels for free. I came to know this from techtree . What do you feel about this feature ? Will you use it ? Please respond !

haha.I really don't know of that feature in vista, maybe you can share it with everyone here? I'm using another software to watch TV channels online or I use some websites that offer free TV streaming on their site... why not post the settings here?

Hi beachdune, can you please tell me the settings which you know about activating the TV feature in Windows 7. Coz, as far as i know, you can only watch TV if your system has a TV-tuner card. I could not find any settings to activate the TV feature. Please let me know about this.

I don't have Windows 7, but I use Microsoft Livestation on Vista which is a good TV software, and Sopcast and TVants for TV sport events. Media players are able to stream TV channels too : Windows Media Player, Real Player, Xine, VLC, etc.

I am a user of Windows 7 but for the TV in Media center you need a TV tuner card which you have to buy and connect the aerial(cable to your anteena or Dish) It wont work online! if you want online many softwares (Of course rarely one is free) are for $10+
