I know to some of u that's not a biggie but i had not been to church in a long, long time. I have been so troubled lately about my sons that i thought maybe it would help relieve some of the stress, get me out of the house around people & just generally make me feel better about myself. It did make me feel better & i hope god & i can get these problems worked out. Did u go to church today?

I'm glad that going to church helped relief some stress and got you out of the home. I haven't been to church in awhile myself. I might go next week because of this post.

Hi friend! Nice to hear that. I'm glad you did! I also pray that whatever problem you've been having, the Lord will give you the grace to bear and to find immediate solution. And yes we did go to church to worship yesterday being Sunday. We have always devoted Sundays only for the Lord. Sunday is Lord's Day so my whole family has to worship and that is a "must". It does make a lot of difference!

I go to worship services every Sunday, twice. I also attend Wednesday evening bible study and the Tuesday morning bible study for ladies. I only miss a service if I am sick. When we go visit our daughter, who lives in another state, I attend the services of the church there. Neither my husband nor our children will go with me, but they are adults. All I can do is pray for them.

I did go to church yesterday. For me it is an every week thing. My husband teaches a Bible class and sometimes I teach the children, but I don't have a class right now. I'm glad that your spirit was lifted by going to worship. Hope things work out well with your sons.

i honestly dont think i've been to church in about three years. i'm agnostic now, spiritual but not religious. i know exactly what it feels like to be comforted and feel better in a church. there can be lots of love and positive energy in a place like that and im glad that you felt better afterward. things always find a way of working out so just have faith in your parenting and most importantly for your children. in the end its really people who make their decisions. there are so many problems that "god" has to worry about, remember that you are not powerless and that "god" helps those that helps themselves.

Yes, I went this morning despite the torrential rain. At first I thought that I would stay home but was so glad that I went. There was this little boy and it was his fifth birthday. He marched up to the altar after the service to receive a birthday blessing and then we all sang happy birthday to him. He was so happy as he marched back to his mother. It really made my soul sing. We can pray anywhere at anytime but there is something comforting about being with the other parishioners and worshiping together. I felt so much better that I had gone and it was good to chat to people after the service too. I will only say one thing. No where in the Bible does it say that God helps those who help themselves. God helps us in our helplessness; when we acknowledge that we are helpless and need His help. I am going to begin to pray for reconciliation with your sons. Does this mean that you have not seen Ryan?

I'm glad you went to church and it did make you feel better. I hope you decide to keep going. I've been going to church practically every Sunday all my life. I did go through a period when I was ready to give up, but I decided in the end that faith was important to me and church was an important part of my life.

I Jo, I am not a church goer but sometimes I go to church when I feel a collective prayer is needed. Church is many times a place to rest and accept, no matter which church you belong to. I´m sure your problems with your sons will have a way of working out fine. I also hope your sons seek your advise if they have problems: you are wise and caring, sweetie.

Thanks dear, u are very sweet & kind to offer your shoulder.I hate dumping on people because everyone has troubles of their own to work out. I was fool enough to believe when i got my first one through high school i had it made. Duh, what a stupid thing to think. The old saying 'they step on your toes when they are young & your heart agter they are grown' is sure true. Isn't great to have friends like that? hugs.

Jo, sweetie, You know that if you ever need a shoulder to unburden part of your griefs, here I am. PM me and maybe to ol´witches know better than one. Children are a pest, no matter what age. I was just having a phone visit with my friend who lives in the US. We know each other since we were 10 years old. We both agree that our children ( my oldest is 46) don´t know a thing about life.

I trust that our Lord will help you in your present problems. I believe in the power of prayers and when you pray sincerely, God will always answer prayers. I never fail to attend Sunday masses but yesterday I was not feeling quite well so did not attend mass.

Today, not the day the discussion was made, i am referring for this day. Today is thurday, dated april 29, 2010 and i have been in the church last morning around quarter to four in the morning because our church service started at exactly five thirty., if you wont come during this time you couldn't anymore attend church service. worshipping God as we know is very special and important that is why we the member of the true christian church is very conscious on time. if you come late then the door is closed for you. we should respect time anyway.
