Hi to all, this is my second post about my skin problem and now I already know what it is called and attached my own pic of it for everyone to see... My problem started last year and I have tried to applied different creams and none ARE helping this ugly bumps... It says that there is no real cure but I am here asking for real people who experienced this type of problem and share with me the effective stuff you used to cure or even just minimized it? Please do not send me any link as I have researched this subject a lot and find the same explanation and even the Doctor I talked to told me there is no cure! Thanks for your time and suggestions!

I really don't know how people is getting this, I am from the Philippines and never have this before and when I got here in the US, it started to show up, the doctor said that my skin became dry and maybe I wasn't able to moisturize right away to minimize it from spreading!

Hi che, this is the first time I come to know keratosis pilaris. I can't see the the appearance of them on the attached image. I can look them clearly only when I have a close look at the image available in wikipedia. This makes me to recall one of my secondary classmate. I always saw her doing some scratching on her elbow where there were reddish bumps on it. I am not sure whether it was the one that same as yours. Sometimes I saw her engrossed in peeling the dried skin on them and paid less attention to the teacher. I haven't seen her after graduation. And I'm keen to know how about her now, as well as the chronic skin disease. Anyway it's not a pleasant feeling to have any chronic skin disease stick to us. I was told to soak in the hot spring water regularly would help to heel all type of skin problems. Everything might happen out of our expectation. Hopefully you will shake away this undesirable skin problem very soon. Take care and have a nice day

The one at goggle is kinda reddish, but mine is not...it is not even itchy but they are just like dry pimples.....spreading so fast.... I am very sad about this but it seems that there is nothing I can do to stop it!

I actually just read an article about keratosis pilaris while I was waiting for my haircut this afternoon. Apparently, it affects 1 out of 2 people- so don't feel too bad, you're certainly not alone. I've had this problem for as long as I can remember, and I'm only 23. Your doctor is right- there is no cure or anything that will magically make it go away. I find that keeping my upper arms exfoliated and moisturized helps minimize it to some extent. Pure coconut oil makes a really good moisturizer. It has also gotten better since I stopped using conventional soaps and body washes and switched to an all-natural product that isn't irritating to my skin. Your diet could also have something to do with it- eating too many processed, refined foods can cause all kinds of inflammatory conditions in your body, including skin conditions. Dairy and gluten are also common culprits. I did a 3 week detox diet several months ago (no dairy, no meat, no gluten, no refined grains, no refined sugar), and my keratosis pilaris pretty much disappeared. But that kind of diet takes a lot of effort. Most of the time I just eat a fairly balanced diet, try to get a lot of veggies and whole grains and keep my sugar to a minimum, and I find that the bumps on my upper arms, while still present, aren't as bad as they were when I didn't pay attention to my diet at all.

I always eat vegetable and fruits but I will try to use all natural products for my skin and see if it would help me, thanks for sharing! I do appreciate the stuff I learned from you!

Che, I can't really see the bumps in the picture. Are they red or white little bumps?I have little white bumps all over my bodyIt's not how it sounds. I have most on my feet, and some on my chest. I've been assuming it might be from my Sarcoidosis. Leenie
