yes this is a fact. for those who will be managing people, please be careful of how you treat your employees your treatment ultimately leads to them either staying in your company or not and when they do leave you will be the reason and they will be spreading things about you and how you suck so always, always be careful

Hi, chipesterkhan I agree with you. Many bosses need to be mindful of how they treat their employees. That is one of the main reasons why I don't work outside of the home at all. Because of nasty managers/supervisors. I used to work at an chicken factory and my supervisor was very nasty. I asked him an question one day and he just yelled at me in front of all of the employees. It was really mean, and they all looked at me. I did work one more time after that in 2006, but that was the last time that I had an outside job. I have decided to just stay at home with my kids and not work outside of the home. I can't mentally and emotionally put up with any nasty managers, I work too damn hard to be kissing someones tail!

i'm sorry to hear that no one should ever be humiliated in front of other people regardless of what the employee did or did not do

I agree! That's what is happening at the store I work at. People are quitting left and right because we have a new store manager who obviously doesn't care about any of the associates. She's extremely hateful to everyone.

It's not always the boss who is the problem. You will always get a negative feedback no matter how good of a boss you are specially when you encounter employees that wants to be their own boss We must be careful and sensitive in everything may we be a boss or an employee

As society becomes more educated. And if there are more jobs available in the market. Then, people would just leave bosses who mistreated them. Not only would they talk, they would probably plan a revenge.

Yes this is true. I leave my previous job because one of the reason is my woman boss. She has no consideration in most of us, she's cruel and always shout & yell at us and not minding if there are many people. She don't care what other people say about her, all that she cares is her money.

Tell me about it! I left because of my boss too! He should not be in the post.He cannot handle people. He used to be an agent from a call center and has no experience in handling people that is why when one of his friends gave him that post... HE SUCK BIG TIME! He is one powertripping !@!#@He manipulates people. He doubts his staffs a lot without any CONCRETE basis. He doesnt know how to listen to his people. He will believe what he wants to believe.

power trippers sheesh i wonder why they even exist as an agent you can always get back at them during the supervisor review that's why i always take care of my people, because they are the reason why i have a job managers forget that without their employees they are nothing we exist to organize and coordinate and allocate proper manpower, without other people we are nothing if you're a boss like me remember that

yep. I guess he got the post because he kissed (BLEEEP!) I suggested that subordinates should also have a chance to evaluate their bosses for promotion or demotion. But it seems that he only wants an upperhand of everything. We get evaluated but we cannot evaluate him. Scared that if there will be an evaluation of bosses..Iam pretty sure he will FAIL! We had long talks then and I have observed that he is too full of himself. He criticized me and I took it constructively. I told him my concern to him and my concern just got out of his other ear! Had an issue with someone then, and ofcourse, I thought as my manager he will listen to my side. WRONG!! He just listened to the other person and not bothering to hear my side of the story then just judged the case because the other person is his friend. what a scoundrel!

This is true based on my experience. I've been in our company for 10 years and I've been under to a # of difference bosses. I had issues but my previous bosses are always at our side. Just recently, I was transferred to another boss because of re-organization that happened in our department. I thought I can handle our difference. I thought I can endure the emotional stress he's giving me. I realized that the world between us is getting small and before it collapsed, someone needs to give up and it is me. No worries. I don't have a new job yet but I am working on a business.

I totally agree with you. I have been working with one of the most reputed company but I didn't like the way they treat their employees. At first, they were so humble and warm to everyone but as the days passed they started showing their attitudes which hurts a lot. I left that company. Many a times, I complained but nothing happened so I thought better to quit, there are lots more job to do.

Sounds like this particular topic's a little close to your heart this time, chipster. Did something bad happen between you and your boss recently? I hope you didn't do anything too drastic.

oh no... the recent boss is ok no problems so far and yes he is very strict but he listens to me and i listen to him as well i am already expecting that if he reprimands me it's going to be very severe but i can live with that because he listens now... the old boss is the one i'm talking about here i just did an exit interview from the old company and i gave him a review that was as fair as i could possibly give but it still turned out bad hey i was just stating facts and the bad thing is my old team, some members left after i left tsk i guess the new one who took over for me was not who they liked as their new supervisor

I have been jumping from one company to another company most of my reason for leaving is because I can't stand how the boss treat his/her employees. In our country, you can't get results when writing an incident report against your boss that's what I see. That is why most of the employees end up in the Department of Labor for settlement, especially when the boss refuse to sign the clearance, just like I did.

Quitting should not be the best solution to your boss maltreatment, everything base on the organization/company you work with, the country you are and your staus( single/married ). Some organization/company has good package for there employee and your own boss may be the obstacle, if possible you can confront your boss in a frindly manners, ask for what you're doing wrong and whats expected from you, i mean what can you do to please him/her, and if after confrontation nothing seems change, you can report that your boss to the management( HRM DEPARTMENT ),that why i firstly refer to the types of company you work with. Anyway, unemployment rate is high now, quitting without any job on reserve is bad, if married you know what it means. I'v work in many place due to this maltreated issue but what i used to do is by quitting when i'ved secure a better offer though am a luckiest man on earth( smile ) becouse to secure a job now in my country is very difficult compared to other country.

I totally agree with you! I have left a job because I being treated fairly. The managers nor the owner cared. I loved my job, but it wasn't worth the headache. I sometimes wish people could treat others the way they would like to be treated.

What I learn about employment is that it's not easy being an employee but it's even harder to be the boss. No boss is perfect. What irks me right now is mismanagement. People are leaving here in our company. And the people left are forced to assume the responsibilities of those who left.

i agree! i left my last job because i couldn't work with them any more. for my lasts week there, i was always irritated and i lost the eagerness to work. they are insensitive to the needs of their employees and that they are not considerate enough. when my co teacher in that language center that i left knew i was leaving, she told me she envy me cause i can get out of that company. after a couple of months, she left too..two months ago another friend who's still there told me that one of our group mates left. actually, weeks before i came there, there had been many teachers leaving that company one by one.

This is so true where I work. We got a new manager a few months back and many of my coworkers left. They didn't like her ways. And now she's struggling to keep our store running because she lost some of the best employees. People who had been working there for 5 years or more! I don't know if she learned her lesson tho. She still doesn't treat the rest of us with much respect. I know things are bad when a new hire quits after 1 week because the boss is too mean...

AGREED! I left two jobs because of how the managers treated their employees... and what do you know! One of them lost all of their business and employees after one year, and the other one just went out of business! Word of mouth can be great if you are doing a good job... and devastating if you are doing a bad job!

This is too funny. I had the opportunity to leave a boss that was a boss from hell. I was working through a temporary company. I stayed in the same position for 3 or 4 years, I forget. This guy kept me on because I was always on time, always a hard worker, and dependable. I was running high speed pneumatic machinery and did it well. My coworkers were very pleased with my performance. But as soon as the boss decided to be mean he would call my temporary company and accuse me of every stupid thing he thought of. So why did he keep me on? Not out of the goodness of his heart. One day I told him I was buying a house. The day came and my car broke down as well. I could not go into work. He got mad and called the temporary company. He told them he didn't want me back because I was "undependable". I told them I wouldn't work for him again if my life depended on it. The temporary company did not object. I pictured him having to run one of those machines in my place and go home exhausted. I went to another company and worked for more pay, comfortably seated in a office chair.
