Do you think it is right for the people to pray to Mary?

For me i think it's wrong because she is also a human like us and the Bible also said that there is only one mediator between God and man, and it is Jesus Christ..

I think we,christians are not praying to Mary.we have only one God the Holytrinity.but we want to give respect to Mary who is our mother.while Jesus's crusification he said to his follower John "Mary is ur mother"and jesus said to Mary "He is ur son".Thus Jesus give Mary as my mother.so we want to respect Mary and give our prayers via Mary.

If you consider yourself a Christian, then Jesus Christ is the only way. He made the sacrifice for us sinners. Praying to Mary would be like praying to Noah or Moses. The lord Jesus Christ taught us to pray to our father who art in heaven and never instructed us to pray to Mary.

Hi BEN3rdCHASTER I believe in a direct line from me to Jesus to God, however, I believe we have freedom of religion in the USA. Although it is not my belief system, I won;t criticize their right to worship as they believe. I also don't believe in the crucifix. My cross is empty, because I believe Jesus is risen and will come again. I'm sure there are many other belief systems that differ from mine. I am entitled to my beliefs and they are entitled to theirs. One exception: a religion that believes in sacrifices or violence. Prosperous mylotting

No, it is wrong to pray to Mary. People that call themselves a Christian; follower of Jesus, and pray to Mary have been led astray. Its also wrong to have idols of Mary. Mary is not a God. Mary doesn't have the power to do anything. She is one of us. Jesus alone has the power. Jesus said to pray to God. Praying to Mary is not only disobeying, but mocking him. And having idols was specifically warned against.

Actually, Christians are venerating to Mary, and we are not actually praying to her. My theologian teacher said that we venerate Mary because she is the mother of Christ which is our Savior and the closest way to be closer to Christ is through his mother, which is Mary. Christians actually ask a favor to Mary to bring our prayers to Christ, and don't misinterpret it as giving prayers to Mary. Remember that the divine trinity comprises the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the father who came on Earth to rescue us from our sins.

yeah, that's also what our values education told us in high school.. she is a nun, i came from a catholic school.. however venerating means worshiping so there really is no difference.. and oh, read John 14:6-7 that should explain it.. and oh, dont get me wrong, i just want to share God bless..

Yes, you are right, she is also a human just like us. She didn't just remain the mother of Jesus, as she had other children after Jesus. The Bible states when one of Jesus disciples requested of him to teach them how to pray, Jesus began: “Whenever you pray, say, ‘Father, let your name be sanctified.’” During his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus likewise instructed his followers to pray: “Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified.” The first thing we learn, is that prayer, should be directed to Jesus’ Father. Nowhere does the Bible authorize us to pray to anyone else.

I dont wanna judge people by praying to someone aside from God or Jesus Christ, directly. I believe they have their own beliefs and practices. But I think whats important is your relationship with God. I dont pray to Mary or to any figures or something like that, I pray directly to God that for me is effective. It depends on how you pray and tell your concerns and worries before God.

I agree with you. Praying to Mary is not right for she is not a God. This article is an eye opener and must be read by those who kept on praying to Mary. Hope you find them to visit this: http://www.bukisa.com/articles/319261_catholics-why-do-you-worship-mary. Have a nice day!

yes, I agree with you Ben, Jesus is the only way... that is in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.. and that is why, we should pray to nobody else but Him.. God bless

First, we don't pray to Mary. We ask her to pray for us. It's not Mary who gives us what we need, but she intercedes. Those are two different things. We honor Mary and we rely on her to help us by telling her Son about our prayers. Second, Jesus Christ is not a mediator between God and man. He is God.

I agree. Without arguing about the Trinity, when we pray, we are praying to God through Jesus. Jesus told us to pray "Our Father who art in heaven..."

First, we don't ask Mama Mary for blessings. We don't pray to her. We merely ask for intercession, for her to pray for us. Jesus listens to her mother. Second, Jesus Christ is not the mediator between God and man. He is God.

Hello Ben.I agree to that we only pray to Jesus we should not pray to any human being Mary's role in Jesus Christ was only to bring her out of her womb she is a vessel of God's plan but still she's a creation God commanded us to worship and pray the Creator not the creation we should pray only to God..........God is great;o)
