Problem with my Acer netbook

I was able to detect whats wrong with my Laptop,it needs a BIOS upgrade, so i download the file to a USB as per instruction from the Acer website, however the last instruction was "ZIP IT" to you laptop. i search it from google the explanation even becomes harder, i have asked the Acer Contact for the term ZIP IT but its been two days and i have no reply yet. Any one knows about this term ZIP IT?

why you would care to update your BIOS??? it will run even if your BIOS is not up to date!! Just make sure your boot priority is your hard disk if your not sure you can reset(restore) all your settings in the BIOS

i think that would be my last option, to reset the bios from the inside coz the laptop would boot at all. It has something to do with the BIOS, did you had the same experience

yes, BIOS settings is very important.. if your bios supports auto detection then its great. im not sure how to make an advice for you pc because i didnt see it personaly.. you can pm me if you want,,just tell me what is the symptoms.

Hello JeninTin, If your laptop is still working i suggest you visit the Acer Website, it is easier to update the Bios from our Laptop while it is still working. This is true for all Acer Laptop, they all need that BIOS update/upgrade.
