Do you like Koreanovela? Glee? and other foreign shows?

It seems that Koreanovelas and other foreign shows are more in demand in our country compared to our own teleseryes. I'm just thinking that we really cannot get rid of our trait which is Ningas Kugon. During my high school and college my teachers consider this trait as one of the bad traits of Filipinos. What do you think we can do in order to get rid of this trait? And is it good or bad? And back to my original question - Do you like Koreanovelas? Glee? and other foreign shows?

What does ningas kugon have to do with koreanovela and watching foreign shows? Ningas-kugon means not finishing what you started. Don't you mean colonial mentality?
I don't watch Koreanovelas, they're so cheesy. I don't watch television soaps, whether local or international. I do like the crime shows lice NCIS and CSI.

Oooppss!! Sorry, I was thinking of the other trait. Yes you're right is should be colonial mentality and not Ningas Kugon. I wasn't able to review before I post. Thanks for the correction! ^_^

To be honest, I prefer watching foreign shows like koreanovelas, japanese dramas, american shows like CSI, Gray's Anatomy, and House MD. They are really good besides being the original ones while we, the Filipinos, usually tend to adapt them and make our own version. I don't know what's wrong with us because I know we have very talented people here and can make our own original shows and yet, we tend to adapt some of these shows. Also, I don't watch Tagalog movies...I just find them "bakya" and "corny." I guess I want shows that have more depth and more meaning with bits of intrigue. :)

Lol! Actually you've lost me on your other question wherein you can actually create a separate topic regarding the bad traits that you want to know. Of course we want to stick on the topic title that was already given.
Well honestly I don't like koreanovelas because I find it so corny and exaggerated in love story which is I could really think it is impossible. I don't like the idea of loving a girl by showering too many gifts and almost putting her in wonderland like a fairytale. I mean I could almost think that it is being far away from realistic. I mean come on! how could other Filipinos relate on it? If they are projecting that giving love is about showering too much gifts? While the other girls are dreaming of that what about the guys that are not financially stable? It seems that the rich guy is always winning the girl's heart. Oh well that what I have noticed that is why I don't watch Koreanovelas. I would tolerate the Mexican novela just like the original version of Marimar or anything that Thalia is the cast even the Luz Clarita that was aired before in RPN 9.
