You can try Enya. It works for me to relax my body and also if I want to meditate. I also listen to classical music always. That releases my tension and makes me feel comfortable everyday. I usually have good night sleep if I listen to classical music before sleeping.

I like Enya and Enigma. I also listen to Pandora.com, a make your own radio station website. There is a relaxation station I created and anything I don't like I give it a thumbs down so it won't play again for 6 months. It's a free site unless you want to pay.

I really do love listening to music to feel relax. Usually when I study and before going to sleep I like to have a background music.

I really like this Portuguese artist, his name is Seu Jorge and the music I do have of him is doing mostly acoustic laid back versions of other songs. He likes covering David Bowie and it's a really interesting to hear an acoustic version of a David Bowie song in a different language. I'm sure you can find clips of him on youtube. Check him out!

Traditional Chinese music does it for me, check the House Of Flying Daggers OST on YouTube.

For me it really depends what I'm feeling like that day. If I'm feeling sort of down and stressed from work then I tend to listen to happier music, something quick with a beat, to lighten my mood. When I just want to relax I usually listen to music that has a more ambient sound. The songs are usually slow and have a more relaxed spacey sound.

Go on YouTube and search for Ryan Farish's music. I like his "Full Sail" and "Road to You". Although his music may sometimes sound repetitive, they're still good for relaxation. Try classical music as well. Bach's pieces always work for me.

If you're familiar with the show "Friday Night Lights," you most likely would have heard of Explosions In The Sky. They composed the music for the opening of the show. In addition to that, their work is frequently used in soundtracks for movie trailers. They're basically an instrumental group, hardly ever putting lyrics to their tunes. They can be uplifting and hypnotic, but not too hypnotic. Another group you might want to check out is Sigur Ros. They're grouped together with Explosion In The Sky under the post-rock genre and they almost sound the same. Sigur Ros is a group from Iceland. They can by more hypnotic then Explosions, but for some reason, every time I listen to them, I feel like I'm being smoothed and ironed out. Unlike Explosions, they have lyrics, but the lead vocal, Jonsi, made up his own language (or so I think...no one else uses it). They're currently on hiatus. I hope you get to check these bands out and feel relaxed! Have a great day!

You can try chillout and house. They don't hold you mind and are fine background music. I always listen some house while i'm working.
