Hi I am not a filippino but hope an American can respond. I am sure your mom had her own reasons to be h appy just because she did not endorse the party you like is no reason to laugh at her. let her enjoy the new party. I just hope for all the Philippines sake the new regime will better your country. I have read how the people have suffered from corruption in your leaders and am now' hoping that things will be better for all of you. good luck and may God bless you and keep you hugs from hatley.

My mother shed tears too and she talked to Noynoy (well, to the television really) and told him that she expects him to come through with his promises. I liked Noli Cabangon's singing of "Kanlungan." The inauguration sparked hope in me. It reminded me of my how I felt when the Marcos regime ended. I know that Cory was not a perfect president but at least she started giving us hope. I hope that Noynoy will bring to fruition all the nation's aspirations.

actually the words of noynoy got my nerves on fire. i almost felt it quite heavy in my heart. i am an OFW and i felt almost emotional when he mentioned his plan about us working outside the country. overall, my hope is that noynoy will not be just another politician singing the same song and uttering the same slogan (it's not saying "enough (for corruption and injustice)", but saying "it's my turn (to have the money)."

Hahahaha. While I was watching, I was thinking about my dad, and even told my boyfriend, that I'm sure my parents are both crying right now. LOL. They are also a loyalist of Aquino, and I understand where they are coming from. We all have high hopes, and I sure will pray for the better Philippines.

heyo dorothy!!1 I think that noy noy's speech was very promising and a very good one. Accurate and straight to the point. As what he said for us to have a better country we should do our job as well. It is for a brighter Philippines who wouldn't be touched with that. I hope that what he said where not merely empty promises. I know that he is a good man and he will do anything in his power to make our country better.

Sad to say, i never was in favor of Noy2x being the next president but let us just pray that the Philippines would see a brighter future ahead starting from now as Noy2x will be leading us. As filipinos, let us do our part also to help our own country and not just depend on the government for everything. I hope everyone really does a part. God Bless us, Philippines.

hi dorothy, i am also watching the inauguration and its kinda touching, yeah. and i understand your mom being emotional with regine singing the song...its the message that's really moving. i also like the one that Noli Cabangon sang...hehe if only they will do what they have promised, everything will be better. now, this is it for our beloved Philippines, lets all pray and hope for the better and do our part to achieve what we dream for for our country. Its not only Noy's journey...but its the entire country. United we will stand. by the way, i'm not an Aquino fanatic, but since he's already there...i give my respect to him and accept him as the president of the Philippines.

Yeah, I am watching it, I just waited for his speech because I've had it with those boring songs that's been played on the stage. can't you see that the guest themselves are not focused on the song. and the orchesta? phew! a lot more are sleeping now or feeling tired than ever hearing the song. i saw kris there but i don't think we can see the lights of James Yap. I don't know, the speech is something new but i hear promises. I'll be to judge if he does better in two years, don't hope for one hundred days because the progress won't be so visible.good luck to him

the program is not yet over. I'm just looking at the television from time to time. But my mom is also focused on it. I went out of the room when I heard Regine sung the Hindi Ka Nagiisa. The song is really nice and touching. The Inauguration was well prepared. The setting is really nice. Even the weather joined well, it's not really hot or raining heavily.
