I recently found a band named Blood Stain Child. The genre of music that they play is labeled as Trancemetal. It is awesome! I encourage anyone that likes either Metal, Trance, or both to check them out. What are some bands that you have found that are weird or odd but you enjoy?

anyonbe who likes post-rock should check out Blck Dice...They make some really interesting/werid stuff..I warn you though that it is not for everyone..In fact mosr people probably wont like it on first listen. They take a while to get into it..But if you are up for a challenge, check them out. Also, Frank Zappa always catches my interest..He was easily the best composer of his generation..Makes some pretty strange sounds indeed. Explosions in the Sky are another post-rock band Id reccomend..And a lady who writes really atmospheric, ambeint songs under the name, Grouper. mt favorite thing about music is finding new and exciting artists/bands. Check out Japanther too..They are like a modern dat Sonic Youth. Really interesting band. They fuse a lot of sounds together to create something that is truly marvelous. Lately I have been listening to a lot of instrumental hip-hop..Madlib, Jay Dilla stuff like that. Check it out, its all good. This is real hip hop...Gives me a new sense of faith in the genre as most stuff these days is so bland, mediocre and generic sounding.

I'm sure most of the music I listen to is considerably weird or odd. People are always fascinated by the fact that I am a Celtic music fanatic. I also like Gregorian chants. I'm into different types of Asian music as well. Dir en grey is one of my favourite rock bands and has been for years. I've actually heard their lead singer do a Gregorian chant during a concert, so yeah... That's probably pretty bizarre, but I love it.

Hmm weird bands, I would have to say the weirdest band I've encountered is Acid Bath. They are defined as "Sludge Metal" and are almost scary sounding lol.
