When was the last time you ate grapes with seeds in them?

Well, it's grape season again - the eating kind, I don't know about the wine grapes. Do you feel good eating seedless grapes? I don't! There is something fundamentally wrong with them. Apart from the added enjoyment of spitting out seeds, a refined art form in itself, the taste and texture are missing. I haven't seen a grape seed in years! It's like cow's milk. That has changed too! How do they get 2.5% vegetable fat into it? Isn't animal fat good enough anymore? What do the cows feel about this? Almost everything has changed for the worse, and not just food. What do you miss most? Thank God some of nature's best products are coming soon. I love the Autumn because of blackberries and loganberries - things that mankind has left alone to appear in their natural glory. Do you have an Autumn favorite?

I think I've always eaten seedless grapes. It probably started from when I was younger as a child and my parents and grandparents preferred seedless because they were scared of me choking. Now, I'm doing the same with my children. I'm deadly scared of seeds in their food since they are young. I did buy cherries with the pit inside and I found seeds all over my house! Well, there's another reason why seedless is preferred by most people.

Oh, you are forcing your children to miss out on part of childhood - planting seeds and watching them grow! Didn't you do that when you were young? Cherry trees grow so easily too.

I have to admit I am quite spoiled by the seedless grapes. They are so much easier to eat and I feel safer giving them to my kihds. I remember as a kid sitting there and splitting them opend and digging out the seeds before I ate them. Of course I did my fair share of spitting out grape seeds in my time. As for the last time I had grapes with seeds it was last year around this time. I got some purple grapes that had seeds in them. I had to sit and cut them and pull the seeds out of them so my little guy didn't choke on them. They were really tasty though.

Strange that you mention that - I just bought some big, purple grapes yesterday and they did indeed have seeds. I guess they aren't as popular as the green variety so seedless ones are rare. Not so sweet but tasty!

Not too long ago, its monsoon season out here in India and I'm enjoying all kind of fruits. Because in this season we get quite a variety of fruits. I love eating black grapes.

I love the monsoon too, but since I lived in Karachi, I didn't see much of it. I do miss the chicoo.

How do they manage to create seedless grapes? Such a waste of intelligence. I eat the seeds anyway, learnt how to in my childhood climbing vine walls. :) Its incredible what a mishy mashy society we are becoming.

It's a growing trend (hey, I made a pun!) in all fruit farms. Oranges rarely have seeds anymore, and even the exotic Asian fruits are increasingly seedless. I feel sorry for the birds and squirrels.

I don't remember the last time I ate them with the seeds. To be honest it grosses me out to eat them with the seeds it has just got this incredibly weird taste that does something to my tongue. My mum says it's good for your health etc. but I don't care if I don't like the taste lol but I love seedless grapes as then I don't have to worry about that horrible taste in my mouth.

Grape seeds taste really bad and I agree with you, something strange does happen to your tongue. But I have never heard of them being good for your health. Ask your mum for more details and post it here!

If I can remember correctly, Maybe 2 months ago. I love seedless grapes, i just had a bunch the other night and I didn't stop eating until my tummy hurts. :) I find it a hassle to eat grapes with seeds. I was told when I was a kid that if you swallow grape seed it will grow in your belly and you will become a walking grape vine. Since then I prefer the seedless ones. :) pretty stupid story huh. :)

Not any more stupid than what comes out of Hollywood! Maybe you should try selling the story.

hi personally I love seedless grapes and spitting out seeds seemed grosws to me, not to mention for people with diverticulitis anything with seeds is a no no as they can make us deathly ill. no I love the seedless grapes and here in C a we have fresh fruit all year around. How on earth did you find milk with vegetable fat in it, that sounds really gross and I have never seen that.also animal fat is not really all that great as most of it shoots up your cholesterol levels.

All store bought milk has vegetable fat in it in Europe and Asia - read the labels! Pure milk from a cow is as rare as cows in the city.

Actually, I had some today! I actually enjoy eating the grapes without seeds. I always bite on the seeds and have problems getting them out of my mouth, I sometimes end up accidentally spitting out half the grape. But that's probably just my problem... I really don't have a problem whatsoever with seedless grapes. Sometimes I'm not near a garbage can and then I have seed in my mouth which is really annoying. It's stuff like that that makes me love seedless grapes. ;)

Hi, Grapes is my favourite fruits and all the while , I eat grapes together with its seed. I am just lazy to spit out the seeds,so I will chew them and swallow together with the grape flesh. Only after knew my husband and I saw him spit out the grapes seed, then slowly I will follow him to spit out the grape seeds too. However, if my laziness start again, then I will still continue to swallow the grapes with its seeds.

LOL petersum, Hello. The cows do not like their food mixed with growth hormones. Animal fat produces high cholesterol in humans. I ate seedless grapes this year too. Now that you mention it, they really did not taste the same. I eat organic fruits and vegetables now. Yes, I pay an arm and a leg not to eat pesticides. How dreadful. Everything healthy is expensive. Have you looked some of the labels? Palm oil, Hydrated oils, all are killers. . Nonetheless, I try to eat healthy, but when I have a taste for something, I eat it. But not the whole thing. Our food has changed since I was a little girl. :)

I have never eaten a grape with a seed in it. I absolutely love the seedless ones though. Have you ever had a Graple? It is a mix of an apple and a grape. It definately looks like an apple but has some grape flavor in it. I don't really eat berries all that much, not raw anyways. I haven't tried all of them and I probably should just pick some up at the store and try them.

It seems you have missed out a lot! You just don't know what a real grape tastes like - that's a shame. Haven't heard of a Graple! Berries should be picked from a bush or vine, not picked up at the store. Try it, you'll like it!
