can you survive without a computer? Let's say one day there's curse that all computer in this world will disappear out of sudden, so there will be no computer, when you're at work, at home, or anywhere. Can you live without a computer from now on? As per my opinion!! yes I can live without my computer...people do tend to depend on the computer way too often for things...but I do not do everything on the computer... ************************************************************ Now this one is out of topic! it is just for your entertainment I just wanted to share my HONEYMOON photo http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/5056/honeyhorz.jpg

Dear friend, Yes definetly as I had liven before without these. Later in due advancement I do have become dependent on these aspects. Now I feel mobile phone and internet are those technologies that most people depend upon.

If ever that day happens, i will undo the curse. I'll also replace every girl's dress into a thong. Hahaha! Yeah, that's some day.

I am sure that would be quite entertaining. However there would be some very fine looking ones and some not so very fine.

If computers ceased to exist, I guess we would have to learn to live without them. I grew up without computers. They didn't really become popular until I entered college. I used to have to do research the old fashioned way, like going to the library! WOW! My kids are so lucky now. They have no idea how easy it is for them. If they have an assignment, all they have to do is log on to the internet! I do rely on my computers for a lot of things, but I don't have to have it.

Perhaps internet comes in 1970.Before that people do survive.Question of survival does not have any relation with internet or computer. Of course, computer and internet are great help for the people. We can do many things very easily with a computer and internet made communication revlution. The communication scenario has been completely changed with internet.Easily we can connect to my family or friend withinternet.Without computer/internet we will be back again, though we can survive.

I think that it would take a lot of adjustment for me to be able to do, but ultimately, I do think that I would be able to live without the computer. There would be a lot of things that I would feel like were missing from my life since I've had and depended on a computer for so long, but it was done in the past and I really do think that it could be done again. However, above everything else, I think the thing that I would miss the most would be digital photography as odd as it may sound.

I did survive for many years without a computer, but I bought one initially because I liked to add titles to homes videos. It was back around 1988. It wasn't connected to the internet until the early 90s. Then I got a bigger computer and went on line. I would survive without it, but I would miss it a lot! _Derek

It would be difficult for me to live without my computer. I do think that I might be able to, but I really do not want to and, as I have said, it would difficult for me to do this.

I cannot live without it. The internet is good because we learn a lot from it. Kids learn a lot of stuff and helps them with their homework. A lot of people uses the internet. The internet has everything. You can buy food, you can pay your bills. You can look up a lot of stuff. The internet is only bad if people do not know how to use it right.

I could learn to live without a computer. It would be like a 12 step program though. I would have to go through all the withdrawal parts first, then the acceptance and then the recovery. Although I would fully recover I suppose I would still be an addict, as once an addict always an addict. After all computers are not the be all that ends all.

I could survive without a computer but I wouldn't like it very much. I can remember when computers first came out and it was predicted that every household would have one one day, I thought they were nuts. Back then a computer was a huge machine and the cost was very high. Then they came out with PC's and they were still very expensive. You couldn't buy one for less than $3500 so only the wealthy people had them. Then they started to come down in price but I still thought I would never see the day that I would own my own computer in my home. I started to notice more and more people I knew had a computer and the price wasn't bad anymore. You could buy a computer for a few hundred dollars and so what did I do? I bought a used computer for $100 and it was great. I didn't care that it was outdated, it worked good enough for me. So I guess the prediction that almost every household would have a computer one day wasn't so way off after all. The only person I know that doesn't have a home computer is my mom. I clean houses for a living and I don't have a client that doesn't have at least one computer in their home. Most of them have about 3 computers in them. I guess the same thing has happened with cell phones too. I remember when they first came out, they were this huge thing that fit in a big box that you had to carry around with you. Now everyone I know has a cell phone, including my mom. hee hee Cheers, Chris

Cute picture. I, too, could live without the computer. Without the computer, I'd read those books that I've saved to read after I retired (now 10 years ago). I might even get a new one or two from our new library. Possibly I'd use up more of that fabric that I also put aside to turn into quilts after I retired. The downside of no computer is that I'd have to actually write letters to my far-flung family, and I gave my typewriter away when I got the computer.

If I say truly then I don't live without computer and Internet. I mostly live for 1 week without computer and Internet. And after that I can't live without it. Because I think computer and Internet is now an important part of our daily life. So we can't ignore it. And also we have got every information from Internet for everything like new technology, news, games etc. So I think I can't live without computer and Internet.

I think I could survive without the computer, but I would not want to give it up. I use it in my full time job. Use it to make money online. More importantly than the above I use it to feel connected to other people. I need that especially at times when I am feeling depressed or down.

NO. Don't even say such a thing! I couldn't live without the internet. How I ever survived without it before I got it is beyond me. I do so much with the internet--socialize, watch TV and movies, find out info on anything and everything, browse humor sites. I need the internet!
