Dear MyLotters, I am thinking of what to cook for today, suddenly I am craving for those spicy food and just nice my fridge do have a pack of chicken drumstick and some curry paste,of course, not to miss out the evaporated milk. So I decided to cook curry chicken for dinner tonight. Both me and my husband love to eat spicy food especially curry chicken. Most of the time I will add evaporated milk to my curry rather than use coconut milk. For me, it taste nicer with evaporated milk. Do you ever try to use evaporated milk for your curry? I also like to add potatoes, lady finger and egg plant to my curry sauce,it taste great with these combination. I cook curry at least twice a month, it has become my favourite dishes. How often do you cook curry chicken for your family? Do you prefer curry with chicken, beef, mutton or vegetables? Do you like to eat spicy food? Share your thoughts, thank you.

Hi, I guess most Asian People will love to eat spicy food and curry has been everyone favourite food. Especially when dining out at Malay restaurant, curry is the most famous dish to be served on the table. I hardly cook curry now because due to hot weather. I prefer to cook curry during raining season,at least, it is the best time to eat Hot spicy curry. I also make sure I drink plenty of water after eating those curry,or else I may end up having sore throat.

Hi, I prefer to cook curry by myself. I never buy from mamak stall before. I am worry the taste may not suit me. Anyway, it is pretty easy to cook curry since the curry paste is easily availble in the supermarket. Within next 30 minutes, the curry can be served on the table. It is more healthier to cook myself, less salt and less MSG.

Hi, Actually it is pretty easy to cook curry,of course, not to mention about making my home made curry paste. I never try to make my own homemade curry paste.Since all kind of paste is available in supermarket and they are plenty of brands,I just grabbed a few packets with different brand and try cooking it on different day.Sametime I can try which brand served the best for curry paste. After getting the paste, just need to buy chicken, potatoes and some curry leaves/lemongrass for more fragrant. It will be a nice meal for your family..try to cook it ourself one day.

Hi shia88, I think most of the people living in the tropical region love spicy food including me as well. My husband and I eat curry almost everyday. Might be we are so used to this fantastic savor and never feel bored eating it frequently. When eating in fast food restaurant we pick the spicy items even. We love the spicy and crispy fried chicken and prawn which are so yummy. We seldom prepare homemade curry with chicken or any other meat. We like curry made from different kinds of vegetables. Other than potato, longbean, brinjaul, etc, sometimes shrimp is added to it. It's simple and easy to be prepared but it tastes delicious heavenly. with only a single dish we could finish the whole bowl of plain rice or even more Happy posting!

Hi, I agreed with you, living in the tropical region, most people love to eat spicy food, including me. I love to eat any kind of spicy food especially curry and rendang. However, I can't those curry or rendang everyday,or else, I will have bad sore throat for having it too much. I love to eat curry with french loaf,it taste great to go along. or sometimes I will buy steamed rice cake which is easily available in supermarket. So far, I never put any seafood to my curry yet, although I do saw some chef are doing it on TV. Maybe I should try it out one day.

We like curry in our house too. But we still use the traditional coconut milk to thicken it. We usually do chicken and add potatoes, carrots and bell pepper. The evaporated milk and eggplant sound very interesting. Maybe, I will try it soon. Thanks for the tips.

Hi, I never try to add bell pepper into my curry and I am wondering how is the taste like. When I cooked curry vegetable,I do add carrots on it. It reminds me on how long I have not been cooking curry vegetable with serve best with steamed rice cake. Sometimes, I will use coconut milk to thicken the curry when I don't have evaporated milk ar home.
