do you get your laptop warranty extended. I am not sure. As I have bought a new laptop. But I have listened that the warranty of laptop is extended by paying some money. And they will provide you the complete cover after this. What the idea. Is it good to be covered. What are your suggestions.

I try to be careful with my laptop, I am not sure when my warranty ends, but covered or not, you still need to be careful. I guess if you accidentally spill something on your laptop or it gets damaged, a warranty could be useful, it really depends how careful you are with your laptop and what you use it for. My suggestion would be to extend your warranty, it doesn't hurt to be prepared.

I really hate to say this. Those warranty is worthless, and PC is really cheap in the recent years. What a warranty is for? If a warranty is charging you over $100, overtime, your PC won't worth that much money in this market anymore. So, if you can fix it, you can fix it yourself if anything goes wrong. If you can't, the new PC isn't that expensive right now.

I never buy an extended warranty on anything except for possibly a car per the advice of a financial advisor that I listen to on the radio. The cost of laptops and all other electronics has come down to the point that it isn't cost restrictive to have to buy another one if something were to happen to the laptop that I had. Thus, it makes more sense to play that bet than to throw the money out the window. In addition to this, many credit card companies will automatically double the manufacturer's warranty if you use that credit card to purchase a bigger ticket item.

I guess it was just a trick from the producer to get additional revenue from consumers
