Record Breaking California Heatwave!!!

United States
September 27, 2010 5:42pm CST
It is so hot that it's like a frying pan smacking you upside the head. It's so hot that you can literally cook your entire dinner and then some outside. Okay, enough with the heat jokes, but seriously it is so damn hot today that you could literally die from the heat. In the City of Pomona in California where I am from, it is *drum roll* 111 degrees Fahrenheit. In Los Angeles, California, it is 115 degree Fahrenheit. It is so damn hot that you take just one step outside of your house or apartment and you feel like you're in an oven. It's insane. So, Californians, how do you feel about this insane heat, and feel free to rant all you want on here about how hot it is.

Where do you live vonmac? I bet it will reach 105 in Sacramento because if it is 115 in Los Angeles I can't imagine what it is like in other places, including Palm Springs.

TEXAS of all places! But, as I tell my roommate every year, we get our first cold front by Sept 25th... This one is actually the second one, but the first one brought the temps down to the lower 90's so the second could drop it even lower. Won't last, I can remember Halloweens that have been blazing hot and other that are freezing cold! Heck, I remember one that was BOTH!

It feels strange to come across such a post as this. I live in Washington State and just had a record breaking month for rain. During the past month of Sept. we have had like 4 inches of rain. That was a record broken from 1972 with just shy of that amount. Sorry it is so hot down your way, I bet the humidity is nearly unbearable. Strange how there seem to more extremes in weather patterns. Maybe there is something to whole global warming thing.... (gulp)

Yeah, we dying from this heat right now, and I am wishing I lived somewhere where it wasn't this hot. I would love to go up to Washington right now, Seattle actually. I would welcome the rain right now.

I'd take unbearable heat over the entire winter season in Michigan.

Yeah, it has been pretty hot the past few days. Today seems a bit better, but it's still bad. Welp, I'll just have to find ways to cool myself down again.
