It's the Time of the Season!

Possibly for loving, but also for the great household switch-around! We've bitten the bullet and had the central heating on so it's time to finally give in and box away the pretty summer dresses (mine, not my Mr.'s that I know of!) and Crocs and sandals and see what winter jumpers I'll be living in for the next few months. It may even involve an investigation of the loft, which fills me with dread, not because there's a gremlin living up there (although I still think there is) but because it's packed full of junk and I'm not actually sure what's there. Good thing I've reached payout this month because I seem to be in urgent need of winter clothes. I have Guns N' Roses hoodies from my teens that are worn away to barely more than a t-shirt and I'm sure some of my other jumpers have shrunk (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!) I also need to work out where on earth I hid my Halloween decorations. I couldn't find them last year! Are you in the same state of flux? Please share!

There is quite a few boxes for me to go through in the basement. I have only been here for four years now so my pile up isn't to it's full potential. I do have to go through a lot of my girls' clothes though. They outgrow this and need that. That is a huge job because my oldest is a clothes freak. My youngest is growing the most right now and she will more than likely need everything.

Is it getting colder where you are yet or do you have time for all the organizing? I think I should have been on top of this sooner, but I was optimistic about an Indian summer. Good luck in the basement!

It has been a lot cooler here for the last couple of weeks. Next week is going to be a bit cold though. No there is not much more time for me either..lol..It kind of happened over night though. One day it was so hot you could barely breathe and then suddenly it was cooler. I need to get to work..haha

Not here! Although there have been a definite change in the temperature, we are still holding on to summer, or what's left of it. The past 3 days have been wonderful! People are still walking about with their sleeveless shirts, and short shorts. But I know that halloween is around the corner, and yes it is time to get the ghouly decorations out.

Ahh, I want to be somewhere warm! I love Halloween. I love the crafts that the U.S. and Canada turn out at this time of year. We're slowly catching up in the UK!

I've got to get the winter coats to the dry cleaners. I have a full-length Russian military overcoat that is pure wool and my wife has a great red wool coat. Unfortunately, our long-haired cat slept on them most of the summer and they're covered in hair.

Good point thanks. I'm sure mine needs cleaning. I'd forgotten all about that.

Unfortunate;y, we have to say goodbye to summer. Autumn is here and the winter season will be soon approaching. it's time to think of how we will prepare for the colder days ahead.

Layers, layers and more layers I think is the answer! I can't find my slippers! I have at least about five pairs!
